Have you guys tried the Abyssal Relay modes?

I barely got past the first. I need more allies with +10 merged units, notably tanky units.

I was (somehow) able to clear Map 7, but haven't attempted Map 8 yet because I didn't feel like pulling my hair out for 500 (?) feathers--maybe another time.

I don't know what the developers at IS were smoking when they came up with this idea, but hyper-inflated stats with only the base skills on all of the units and reinforcements every turn doesn't equal a fun challenge. (At least the LHB Abyssal modes had a lot more thought put into in terms of enemy placement and skills, which made them feel very rewarding once one figured out how to beat them, assuming that one didn't use a guide.)

Tanky units don't really cut it in there, since the enemy easily has above 30 in both defensive stats, while being at 70+hp, 50+ atk and 40+spd.

The only way that I managed to beat it, was to rush like a madman into the enemy part of the map in the first two turns (it required a lot of lineup optimization), because once you get overwhelmed, you are pretty much screwed. Pain + savage blow healers help a lot.

Did you beat all the infernal relay maps? I kinda gave up after I didn't make the cut for the first one after one try but I wasn't really paying attention too much. What are the rewards for the rest of them?

I did, and I can say that it's really not worth it...I was just triggered by that stupid red exclamation mark on the main screen, saying that I have unfinished stuff, so I had to do it (I'm retarded).

The rewards are not worth it at all tho. The last infernal map (map 6) gives you 10 dew, which is kind of good and that map is still within reason in terms of difficulty, so you might give it a try.

The first abyssal map (map 7) gives you 1(!!!!) orb and let me tell you that the amount of bullshit stat inflation (90hp, 60+atk, 40+spd and 40+ on both defensive stats) is not worth it at all. The worst offender is the last map, which has the same insane stat inflation and gives you 500 feathers, which is just laughable.

I know that the devs didn't want to make the rewards too good, so that players that don't want to bother with this aren't missing out too much, but the last two rewards are just stupid and not even worth the unfair challenge, because it's not only difficult to even just survive the onslaught, but you also have to score enough points, which means limiting your deaths and defending the objecitves...just absolute horseshit...Guts had an easier time going against 100 men than doing this.

Haha oh man... ok so only the 6th map gives you the divine dew, I'll do it for that, was wondering if the other maps had them too... well... at least you can say you finished them.. I don't know if you're old enough to remember that old Lucas Arts pc game, the Secret of Monkey Island, remember the Three Trials to become a pirate, the long winding treasure hunting quest? And after all that you just get a stupid t shirt

I've finished everything Except the Abyssal maps, I'm planning to do it but since It kinda got hard until the last map before Abyssal, I am gonna get rekt.

These are the stat bonuses given to units by maps they appear in. Its bethesda bullshit, its not good game design at ALL, its bullshit is what it is. It's laziness.

The only way i'd be okay with this is if it were a survival mode where you got rewards based on how many turns your brigade survived, while the enemies constantly get gradual skill and stat bonuses until it was literally impossible to continue, for example, Bector with 99/82/54/60/58 statline with ostian counter, renewal 4, atk smoke 4, and def smoke 4.

THAT would be fair, THAT would be fine, because it wouldnt be about finishing a map, it would be about trying for the highest score possible.

Literally every unit I used in these were +10 units from friend allies, and I STILL got completely fucked over in the 6th map. Yeah I am NOT going to be trying anymore.
