Have you ever gotten "free" 5* that make you blink?

For example, today I had just broken a pity rate and started from base rates when Alm randomly appeared... +HP -atk. o_O

That's a "free" 5* and I'll take it.

Later that session, again on the base 5%, a random Sanaki. I have had +spd -atk for a while; this one has +res -def. Not what I wanted, but again, cost me as much as any Raigh or other uninteresting unit so I'm not complaining.

I got king Chrom on the free summon was reallly not expecting that so was nice 👍

Why cant I get an Alm? And just on this banner I've gotten Jaffar and Owain. Both decent enough to where I can build.

About a few.
It's especially fun on banners that you're not planning on pulling for.
Just because it's a nice surprise.

My best (from memory) probably was a +atk Alm. (Sry Lain and Royahoy)

I free summoned an off focus Hardin once.

I got one on my 11th pull on this hero fest too. Not free, but those were the 31st through 35th orbs that I spent on the banner and I never had him before so that was rather nice.

I can think of a few instances. If we're talking about non-focus units, I got Olwen on a VG banner after a year and a half of avoiding me. Another recent instance was also on a VG banner (the most recent one, in fact) where I got Flying Nino. I happily accept both of them, especially since they had the same IVs of +Spd, -Hp.

I got a +Spd/-Def Eir from base pity rates.

I pulled a +atk -hp ophelia the day she was released on a free pull. A few days later on the next banner that came out I pulled a celica with meh IVs on the free pull. Had been using a -atk one up til that point, so I was happy.

Don't hate me though, my luck with summonings is usually garbage. The last legendary banner I was up to almost 14% before I got some trash pity breaker (think it was young ike). Then with this recent banner I finally pulled a surtr. +Spd, -Hp. Just whyyyyyy.

I think nothing is sadder than my speed bane karla, though. Seriously the saddest thing Ive ever seen in this game lmao.

I free summoned an L!Ephraim on his OG banner. +Atk -Def and I still use him to this day.

Got a free Sonya from the Bridal Bloom banner. Raised an eyebrow there lol.

I have a +9 Merged Female Grima. I have literally never intentionally summoned for her! I’m not even a whale! I’m FTP. She’s +Res -HP and she’s amazing. She always pitybreaks me on legendary banners. The Gods just simply wanted me to have her.

Ok major irony here. Just viewed this thread and was like "hey I should probably use those 2 tickets before the banner expires." and this happened. I need more luck like this.

Never had one and had no plans to pull for one but hey if they're gonna insist that i have one i certainly wont say no!

free summoned a myrhh on hero fest, free flora on her banner, hardin on fallen banner. for legendary heroes i free summoned l!tiki and hrid.

I did

Just this hero fest - free pulled an Ophelia with perfect +atk-res IVs, then picked the two colourless orbs just for a chance of a Klein ( I've been looking for db3 fodder since is started playing in June). Got a Klein and a +hp-spd Jaffar.

Then spent about 90 orbs for 2 Lewyns.

I forgot about the tickets, got nothing from them, but on the last day I gave in to the raised pity rate scheme and chose another green orb.

It wasn't a 3rd Lewyn, but at least I got pitybroken, so I stopped pulling :)

It was Rhajat. Never wanted her but I think I will use her a lot in AR with all the horse bullshit around.

Other units I free pulled in 6 months, from the top of my head:
-Melon Tiki
-Hector on a hector banner
-Karla, off-focus in one of the daily summer banners (-atk though)
-Caeda on her daily focus in the first circle (later got a +Atk 4 star, so I promoted and merged her)

Bartre on his refine banner.
2 F!Kanas on her BHB banner (only spent 4 orbs).
Surtr on his banner (+atk -def).
Lewyn with the tickets (+spd -def).

But in general I have bad luck when looking for units I want.

Back when the first CYL was first released, I picked Ike and then thought "Man, trying to pull for the rest is going to be real fun :|" And then I pull Brave Lyn on my free summon.

Today, my hero fest ticket summon was a Sanaki

I've had a few surprising off-banner pulls. I was primarily surprised due to their perfect IVs. Delthea, Linde, Sigurd, and Nephenee. I may be forgetting some. As for free pulls, a perfect Saber, perfect Eir, and a perfect Brave Eph.

They weren't free, but I did pull three heroes during the same session during the last legendary banner and to my surprise, they weren't terrible. All +atk with the worst being a +atk/-res Gunnthra. I was expecting the usual legendary shaft. All of their speed and attack was untouched.
