It depends on your playstyle. Nowi does well as a Bladetome user on Flier teams or Guidance teleporter on regular teams. Sakura helps on teams needing a Mage Killer.

Nowi is less niche and pretty rare for her type.
Alternatively I'd also recommend Jakob and/or Henry. Having seen what they did to Arvis, its unlikely they will have another armored range very soon outside of special event banners.

Personally I would say Neko. I'm whaling for her, trying to get a+10 (currently +4 now, and I can't spend anymore or I won't be able to pay my bills) and yet even at only +4, she's throwing her weight as part of my team to hold T20 in the arena.

No offenses but you should ask for some help. So you spend most of your money in this game and you just keep enough for the bills. That worries me. Try to control yourself, or I will see you in debt. Just telling you for your own good.

I'm a live in caretaker for my grandparents, so I have a home. I understand your concerns, but they are not necessary. I contribute heavily to my retirement account and I don't overdraw anything or wind up delinquent on any payments.

And this focus is the only one I've ever bought this many orbs for. Any other time, I budget 1 purchase of 140 orbs per month.

I did, however, achieve my goal in a way. I wanted to be able to make Neko a recurring part of my arena team while being able to hold T20, and with my Sigurd and the eventual +10 green mage I'll make to counter Brave Lyns, that shouldn't be a problem with the +4 neko I have now.
