That's an appropriate reaction and proof he does not deserve the reverence that the Dance skill demands. Why couldn't it have been other, real dancers from the older games?
It's actually pretty accurate considering that he is Awa Dancing (some Japanese thing), and while it might look odd to anyone outside of Japan, it's a traditional group dance there.
