Gwendolyn or Effie: build with dc + berkut's lance (gotta love these hector baners)

I would really appreciate if anyone could give pros and cons for each of these two units.
And btw I've got a Gwendolyn that's +Atk/-HP and another one that's +Spd/-HP. Apparently, the +Spd one increases its BTS so it scores more in the arena, but isn't that solvable with a +1 X seal anyway?

Effie has much more attack than Wendy so she can 1 shot lots of squishy mages, but less defenses than Wendy. Still, with Berkut’s Lance, Effie can become a powerful mixed tank. I definitely recommend her over Wendy due to higher attack.

Also, putting a stat seal on someone WONT impact their BST. BST is calculated before merges, skills, supports, or seals. The only thing that can change a BST is a hyperboon/bane.

I personally perfer Gwendolyn over Effie due to higher def/res so she does better in tanking/baiting and a res+ Gwen with a refined berkut lance hits 42 res while a res+ Effie hits 38 res when attacked. Sure Effie hits like a truck but shes better in player phase while Gwen is for enemy phase usually

I don't really like using armored units, but I also prefer Gwendy over Effie. She has way more defense and resistance, making her much bulkier than Effie.

Also helps that I don't like Effie in any way, shape, or form since playing Fates, lol.

Uh you don't want to waste seal spot with +spd. Also +Spd -HP is already the best IVs you can get. Gwendolyn is better as a tank than Effie, but Effie has the atk to one-shot almost any mage. Many people do go for DC Slaying Gwendolyn & DC Berkut/Brave Death Blow Bold Effie, but as a long term arena scoring unit, Wendy is better.

Here people say that Gwendolyn tanks better while Effie hits harder. This is a bit new to me because I haven't compared them before, and I actually thought Effie tanks better because she can dump her spd and use wary fighter, just slaying lance + glimmer and leave it there, while Gwendolyn can differentiate her niche by going +spd and getting hone armour to try to block doubles and double slow units. Any advice on this way of interpreting their difference?

The thing with Gwendolyn's superboon is that it sends her to the 170 BST bracket (shared with the other/newer 174 bst armors). That increases her base unit score from 678 to 680. Effie can't do that because her highest BST is 169 (with her superboon in Res) and thus stays at 678. Unit scores affect arena scores so if you want to get the most out of it, Gwendolyn's the better choice. She's also tankier. I personally prefer Effie 'cause I like her sprite better, lel.
