Gunnthrá - Cavalry or Mixed Team?
I spent way too many orbs on the legendary banner and pulled exactly one 5* - Gunnthra. I'm happy enough, she was one of the ones I wanted and I really need a wind hero, but her IVs are godawful, at +hp -atk. I'm gonna run with the hand I've been dealt here and try to make the best of it. I'm keeping Blizzard on her and I figured I'd partner her up with my ploy-based Galeforce Eliwood since they can take advantage of each other's debuffs, but I'm not sure who the other members of the team should be. If they were horses I was thinking Camus and a healer, or maybe a second mage (L'Arachel?), but Gunnthra doesn't strictly need to be on a cavalry team, and I have zero clue who to put her with if they aren't horses. Anyone have any suggestions? (I'll note that this team isn't going anywhere near the arena, it's mostly gonna be for blessed gardens and GHBs and other things that may require wind blessings.)

My best-built dagger unit is currently Felicia, sad as that is, so I might try her. It's also probably about time I got off my butt and built one of the F!Corrins sitting in my barracks. I wish M!Morgan would come home, he's my son and I miss him. Arvis is part of my water team already, and I've used it for so long it's like a well-oiled machine, so I'm not terribly inclined to switch him. And I missed Saias's GHB, which I'm still a bit salty at myself for. I suppose there's always Julius, he comes with atk ploy and I could slap the res ploy seal on him. Think I'll try Felicia and Corrin first though. Thanks for the suggestions!

If you're willing to sac a Kaze or B.Lyn or F.Takumi or Sigurd (or even if you're not - I'll explain shortly) - you'll be fine. Felicia's plate debuffs 14 points; any smoke adds 7 points, and now we have both smokes available as seals. So one hit to a nearby target by Felicia, and Gunnthra's attack goes up by 28 points - or 21, if you only use a seal. Still should be plenty to make up for an atk bane. If you go for spd smoke then she has a good chance of doubling. Honestly, I have a +atk Gunnthra but I think with proper team support the atk IV could be anything. Felicia can be quite deadly in her own right thanks to the plate's adaptive damage, so let the team inflate her atk and spd (or even her def, if you want her to go after guys like BK before she hits desperation range or you don't run desperation on her. But this takes considerably more investment)

To be honest I haven't really touched my Gunnthra; however, when I do use her it is on a mixed team with Arvis, Camus, and a dancer (usually PA! Azura).
Arvis is a great with the wind blessing as his ploys help the reverse blade damage and the extra resistance helps his ploys; same could be said of Saias.

You mentioned that you want to keep her default weapon, but if you can't make it work then one alternative to the mixed team with dagger option (which is a lot of fun but sometimes very hard to make to succeed) is to stick a blade tome on her and do the somewhat tired old horse emblem thing. I belong to the camp that prefers Gunnthra with blade tome to Cecilia with blade tome due to significantly higher speed. You might not get away with giving her the 4* blade tome (or you might; I haven't tried myself) but +30 attack from hone and fortify cavalry should give you enough to work with.
One thing I probably wouldn't do (unless it works better with the rest of the team) is pick fear+ or slow+ over pain+ on a mounted healer because the 7 debuff adds to blizzard's attack power. The 10 damage from pain+ is greater, and with double savage blow you're probably looking for a one-hit finish with Gunnthra so it's not 7x2. Unless for some reason you're doing like fear+ spd smoke def smoke on a healer? Kind of like a potentially worse smoke dagger except on a horse and can heal the team? The influence of a certain YouTube FEH personality shows itself...

It's funny, I love using blade tomes but I'm kind of wary of just slapping one on anyone who can get emblem buffs, especially if they have other good options, so my only blade mages are Nino and S!Corrin. (Okay, and a really half-assed Ursula who I haven't used in almost a year because Reinhardt exists.) Gunnthra's tome effect is unique and my inclination is to try to utilize it...but yeah, just making her a blade mage would probably be easier. I guess the good thing is that since she's a legendary hero she'll gain sp pretty easily, so I can try it both ways if I want. ;)
Healers actually can't use smoke skills, which is weird to me, but I guess they decided that people stacking them with the staff effects would be too OP. Still kind of strange to me considering they can savage blow to their hearts' content. I guess they wanted to make sure daggers still have a niche lol.
