Gunnthra can't kill anyone. Another green mage alternative?

So my gunnthra is super weak and I need a green mage for mission purposes. Should I get my +att -def nino to 5 star? Is she worth it?

Nino will definitely work if you need stuff dead, but if you can hold out for a +spd to 5 star she'll do better than a +atk.

Reason being that Gronblade's bonuses will push Nino's damage really high, so being able to double by outspeeding (and preferably with desperation) will give her a lot more kills.

Yup! I don't really agree with this site's ranking of her to be honest, although I can understand the reasoning behind it.

I'd definitely upgrade her:she's definitely worth it. Although I'd switch over to a +speed Nino whenever you have the chance, as it allows her to double more units than she would otherwise.

Alright. For now I'll use her as a 4* +1 cuz the other nino I have is +hp -spd. I'll wait for the perfect IV since she's common. Thanks a lot

Nino is the best green mage even by today´s powercreeped standards.

Pair Gunnthra with a Smoke Dagger+ user. It's easier than making a Rally/Tactics team for Nino imo. This also has the benefit of weakening other units for your teammates, and you can still push Gunnthra's damage even higher with Cav buffs.

Just out of curiosity what are the IVs and build of your Gunnthra? While i'll be the first to admit that by herself Gunnthra isn't a great stand alone unit but i find that when paired with others (especially units that spread debuffs, eg. chill skills and dagger users) she is really solid. It's true that hindering IVs can ruin her though.

That was my original Gunnthrá's IVs. You can try putting her with fury as an all around boost. This, paired with cavalry buffs will bump her RES up to 37. This, while not super high, will still allow her to ploy foes to a very respectable degree. If she has her Chilling Seal, Res Ploy, and Def Ploy SS, she will gain 22 additional damage if they all hit the same unit which isn't too hard with a little bit of positioning. This also isn' taking into account the effects of hone cavalry or the bonus 5 damge gained by the weakened res. Do note however, that you will want someone who can offset fury's recoil so she can keep up chilling seal.

Hope this helped somewhat, as Gunnthrá is still a good mage, though she need a few conditions to shine. Conditions, might I add that are easily, achieved.

EDIT: You can also use Cecilia with TA3 and Bowbreaker 3, when paired with Gronnraven, she becomes a good counter to foes like Reinhardt and Brave Lyn (unless they carry Cancel Affinity, though Reinhardt prefers breaker skills, and you only really see CA B!Lyn with a fire sweep bow, however I see Brave bow and Murgleis/ Mulageir Lyn with Sacae's Blessing more frequently...

Mine is +Spd,-Atk but she can still blow up everything. As essentially a Bladetome user, -Atk is almost negligible. You also have the Cav buffs (I use mine in mixed emblem though) or an Atk seal to further make up for it. If they ever release a Cav Dagger unit, hoo boy.

It's true Nino wants extra Spd, but I've been using a +atk one for a while, primarily because the only +spd one I ever got was -atk, and she's still pretty speedy and able to nuke a lot of dudes.
