Grima... your forcing my hand here

OK so long story short my free summon on the Fighter Skill banner graced me with a second Grima (+Spd/-Def). I've never actually gotten around to building my original one (+HP/-Atk) because well something just bothers me about putting resources into sub-par IV units.

Which one between the two (+Spd/-Def) or (+HP/-Atk) will serve me better long term? And no I have no plans to ever +10 him as I am no whale.

Damn, both of those are pretty bad. I'd say HP is better than Spd. Having -Def makes him decent in defense while -Atk still gives him above average Atk. So in my personal opinion, I'd go with +HP/-Atk. He'll still have 53 Atk (54 if you merge...I think) and with neutral Defense and +HP, he's a much better physical tank as well as a bit better magically.

I was kind of leaning that way as I really don't see much benefit (if any) from an armor unit having 32 Def. And even with 53 Atk and his special he still shouldn't have much problem killing things. Just wanted to see if there was some use to a +Spd boon that I wasn't seeing.

There is, but it's more defensive than offensive. You won't be making many more doubles with +Spd(As if you were to begin with) but +Spd allows you to avoid doubles from dragons... Although even then, the dragons you go up against are usually one-sided. So again, HP would offer more defensively than Spd.

Yikes those are terrible, i vote neither. But if i had to pick then -Def is a lot more patchable with team support. -Atk is unusable on pretty much every unit and he’ll struggle to kill pretty much everything

i had a -def +spd grima as well, and i just winced everytime he was attacked bc it felt like he took a lot of dmg for points in spd that almost never helped him

i couldnt rly plug him into my armored team bc +5 sheena and i dont have a dragon team so he just kinda fell to the wayside

If you want to go hard on his spd it can be done. Hone armour (or dragons) is +6 and ally support gives +2. 35 is already enough for PvE, which is probably what you're using him for if you're not merging, yes? In AA it's also enough to crack wary fighter and Thunder Armads (and probably Great Flame if her def is too high) using bold fighter.

We didn't mention A-skill or seal, which can grant another 3-9 points.
