Green stat number?

My Hector's got a green number for his defense (he's +DEF for the record). I'm not sure why it's like this; it has nothing to do with Close Defense (I checked by unequipping after taking this pic, plus if it did the RES would be green too). I also don't believe it has anything to do with him having Bonfire; units with similar specials didn't have this showing. So anyone know what the deal here is?
