Got banned from SF

So if it isn't clear enough, it's somewhat off the usual topics. And if anyone really wants to know why it "matters", it's just a site a frequented for 10 years about October.

I'm not really upset with it, since I've grown really detached of the Internet/forum "life", but it just feels a little strange.

As to the actual forums, it's one of the more decent ones out there in terms of behaviour and it's people (FE stuff). For FE forums, it's the #1 place for me.

Is such an opinion not allowed to be discussed?

They don't like the whole "intersite war" thing...it's fairly understandable, but I'm not sure the meassure what appropriate.

That said, I can't say I'm all that innocent. I have a fairly long history of warnings; I'd just expect to be from something "bigger" than that.

Did they ever put a temporary ban on you before?

That would be suspension. And yes, many, many times.

Then I guess this isn't a surprise. It's a shame people can't accept that others like different sites most than they do.

So are you not upset or are you and still posting about it? Also, topic is fine, but your delivery is undoubtedly aimed at getting an immediate negative reaction-- either bashing Reddit or your opinion. Doesn't it seem like maybe you could execute that better, maybe say "the Gamepress forums have strong discussions." or so? At least you're off to the right foot that way, focusing on what could make for discussions over flamewars.

Well, that's what I'm assuming the reasoning is. Maybe it was the post behind it that they didn't like?

Funny thing is, I posted that in the "spam" section. So I thought a lack of seriousness was implied.

The irony is that I'm talking about this forum being better than reddit in another forum that isn't either of those. :p
