Got 2 Hectors!! But...

Got my first Hector a few days ago, sadly he was +Spd/-Res. Not terrible, but not great either. But he was my first, so I was excited nevertheless.
Was excited to get yet another one today, but again, +Spd/-Res. Should I merge, or pass on his Distant Counter?

I don't know... I'd wait for The Black Knight reveal. If he has DC through his weapon then it would be better to inherit DC to Effie to round out an armor emblem team.

The Black Knight will likely be the boss fight in the Moment of Fate Tempest Trial. It's not clear if he'll be available as part of said TT or through a follow up GHB.

In any case, they've been dropping hints that he's coming soon.
o Earlier this month they released a commercial showing the CYL heroes fighting The Black Knight.
o They included him in the Quick Hero Battle web game.
o The next TT is called Moment of Fate - this is the name of the chapter in Path of Radiance when Ike fights The Black Knight.
o Hackers datamined his artwork from the recent update.

Same IVs are mine. I think that +SPD is surprisingly awesome on him, especially with Hone Armor up.

But to answer your question... I'd pass Distant Counter on to someone else. Preferably someone with an obscene attack score and a powerful weapon.

I've been using a Hector with +Spd/-Res and he's been great! I'd save the second one to pass on Distant Counter though, since Distant Counter is a premium skill that makes so many units better. I'm looking at you, Zephiel.

Use him as a fodder, distant counter is a great skill and + 1 is not too worthy.

With the current meta, I think is better to give it to a green with good resistance like Titania or Camilla, they turn into perfect anti-meta units.

+1 with Hector would basically be his HP and Def stat boosted which isn't necessarily that big of a deal, so I agree that merging is not a good idea, especially considering how rare he is and how valuable his skills are.

Titania and Camilla are good units for it, but it fills such a niche role, being solely mage bait. Camilla and Titania should both have Resistance boons if this is the case. Though Titania hit 38 speed with a boon, which is awesome, so she could do with either one.
