Goodbye

I decided to quit FEH completely, so I'm leaving this nice community as well and since I was quite active here and some people might recognize me, I decided to write this goodbye message.

I usually spent a couple of euros during seasonal banners, and I tried not to get too addicted to this game and especially to summoning, which is also why I'm leaving. I feel that I am a person from a target group, that Nintendo doesn't care if these people get mentally abused or frustrated, because afterall, the goal is to get as much money from them as possible.

I'm a long time FE fan, similarly to all of you here, so seeing these characters in FEH with an awesome artistic presentation actually means a lot to me, because I spent so much time with them as a kid playing and then talking about the events with my friends. The devs hide them behind a pay-wall which is fine because this is a f2p game, but the problems come when the summoning is a disaster and I get a mental urge to just spend money until I get that character. When I'm thinking about it, it's just like gambling, maybe even worse (because it's abusing our love for the characters) and I probably have a brain, that's easy to get forced into such gambling, so I decided to quit in order to save my money and my nerves.

So in the end, I'd like to wish you all luck in this game and that you keep having lots of fun with it. I also have to say, that this game created a pretty nice community. Of course there were so many people "humble bragging" which always seemed to me like the most insecure and inconsiderate form of contributing to this community, but I won't judge the people that do it. Overal tho, I was happy with the time I spent with the game and on this site, but I don't want to get abused into spending money and I don't want to limit myself by setting a limit for internet payments or sth like that, because if I did that, it would just mean that I have a problem and I can't control myself, which is something that I don't want, so I'm solving the problem in its roots like this.

Man, sad to see you go Guts, you were one of the very first people in this community and to top it off, you answered like every second question. You were definitely one of the OGs here.

Sad, but I am thinking about quit to, I always feel frustrated with Intelligent System and their shit. (I will probably get dislikes for this comment but you know...). Also we will miss you and good luck with everything.

Honestly that's a smart decision and I totally feel what you're going through. I know it's the premise of how RNG games work, but it's bullshit when you see someone pull four 5* in 40 orbs and you end up spending $100 to get a 13% pity rate and nothing even remotely useful.

I'm not too familiar with your presence in the community (think you might have answered some of my questions at some point) but I'm sorry to see you go. Its a real shame and no game should force you into this position though its good to hear you enjoyed your time playing. All the best.
