I dunno. Seems less like a meme to me as of late. Alot of people are taking the armor units to heart, even though they're not that many. We've gotten more fliers, infantry and cavs than armors in the last six months (and way less in the past year). But I digress.

I think it's more because armors are OP an a less common movement type. Considering they are now seen as the only type where powercreep is involved and define all of arena it's understandable.

There is a difference between being easy to counter and fun to deal with. Armors have long been a part of top tier arena; but between the advent of tier 21, the scoring changes, and the BST explosion of the dragon armors, they have created a completely oppressive meta in which nonwhales need not apply.

As someone who has spent a decent chunk of change (although not recently for these very reasons) and a lot of time playing the game and building up a diverse group of units, it just fucking sucks to not even have a chance to run not just some, but most of them.

Oh and the fact that virtually every unit you can use in a high level arena core is 5* locked. Nowi and Fae don't make the cut anymore, just Gwen and Sheena.
