Going for the new units or waiting?

F2P in need of a Elincia but I'm in no real need for anything else.

I habe about 250 Orbs as I don't go for seasonals.

There are three options:
1) Keep waiting for a good Elincia banner (or none seasonal red Flier that rocks)

2) Wait for the next Legendary Banner as it gives the best 5* odds, may get me blessings und may contain Elincia.

3) Go for the new Heroes, which I like but don't need (I have blue mages, Arden and BK as red Armors and a couple of great dagger users. (bit I like the artworks and they seem to be strong)

...4) Mix it up and maybe summon new heroes until I get one...then leg the same way?

You should at least get an Airzura. She dominates with a Mage flier, but then again mage fliers have only been seasonal so far. Still! You're going to want her with Elincia anyway.

In case you haven't seen it, Micaiah has a tome that is effective against both horse and armor types, and with all the high RES armor units lately, it will really come in handy.

Sothe is basically a buffer that puts all other buffers to shame. Ephraim may not even have a use anymore

Sothe's buffs only apply after combat if he attacks, and he is a frail unit (basically he stole Jaffar's kit), meaning he will be vulnerable to DC units unless running Windsweep or desperation or if there is Candlelight support.

He is not bad at all. Let other allies deal with DC units as counters don't make a unit bad, especially when DC is the counter. In fact, give him Windsweep as Joshua was a free unit with Windsweep 3 at 4*. He is an invaluable support unit and it's about time we got a dagger unit who was good and not niche, like H!Sakura, Kagero, or Felicia. Hell, it's about time we got a dagger unit who didn't need a lot of investment. The only thing bad is his weapon color.

He'll work well on a lot of teams. I would imagine Gunnthra would love him in particular, but with that buff he gives to allies, Blade Tome units would love him. Maybe Blarblade Micaiah, if you get her, might allow her to be useful when fighting with Sothe.

So yeah, Sothe is not a bad unit.

Blade Micaiah is not a bad idea though. I forgot to ask, can Micaiah one hit Sigurd despite his weapon and skill? Hopefully it's enough to penetrate that ward.

Option 5: Upgrade and build a Palla or Caeda.

I actually have both as 5*s using Palla most of the time...she just doesn't hold up with the other Fliers.

I personally am going to kick the tires on this new banner. I may not go all in, but I will definitely look into it. An anti-meta tome, a super debuffer dagger user, and Zelgius makes it totally worth checking in. I wish they would announce the legendary banner characters, because if I knew what was in that banner, I would know whether to drop them all in this RD banner or hold some back.

I'd like to know your reasons for not summoning seasonal characters. Personally, I hate when badass characters are in ridiculous outfits, so I didn't summon in Summer, Easter and Christmas, but I find that a kimono look canon and natural on Azura and Corrin. The performing Azura has an outfit from Conquest so I summoned her too. I prefer regular heroes but the performing and NY seems regular enought to me

1) I don't like using Bikini units in Winter, Xmas units in Summer and so on. Thats basically the main reason. I'm somewhat more into the astetics of the game than pure power.

2) As I'm F2P I like to safe a little Orbs in putting this rule in place. Going for everything would kill my nerves.

3) I like only very few of the seasonal units anyway. I think the new Tanks (without any artwork armor) are silly and the artworks of a lot of them don't look right.

4) I summoned Azura and Inigo... But they are Kind of neutral and not really seasonal.

5) I don't like using different versions of heroes in my Main rotations. Ike is warming the bench coz of BIke already. PAzura would Block Flyzura anyway.

If you think you dont need these units then save them till a Elincia banner. She is a solid option for the next legendary banner but you have to remember that pulling a specific unit on a legendary banner is more difficult.
