Glittering Breath inheritance

With Fae's release comes a new breath skill, Glittering breath. Surprisingly, this is recommended over Lightning breath on GP's analysis of W!Fae, opting to run this and Distant counter instead.

What other dragons, if any, are going to want to inherit Glittering breath as their primary weapon, and should Fae's optimal build be Glittering breath + DC, or Lightning Breath + A Slot? (This would give builds like Steady Stance 4 Fae DC capabilities, and would free up the B slot for things like Vengeful Fighter since Guard is built into Steady Stance 4.)

Personally I could see something like Lightning breath/SS4/Bold Fighter/C Slot/Quick Riposte SS being potent.

How many DCs do you have to throw away?
Notice how they suggest +Def and include both special fighter and attack smoke on the build? This is your cookie cutter tank everything bar falchion build.
The only other dragons that come close to her incredible bulk have unique non-inheritable weapons which give added bonuses to arena.

These are good points. It's true that most other super bulky dragons have prf weapons, and it would be a shame to use anything else. As for the Fae build, it seems like doing away with Glittering breath would give -6 to res/def in ideal circumstances, and an increased special count from LB and -2 atk, and changing Special Fighter for Vengeful Fighter makes her lose 2 special charges per enemy phase.

But, SS4 gives +8 def, and guard, making her net bulk loss now 4, and VF frees up the Seal slot since it's better than QR. This means she could run something like Atk/Def bond, or Distant/Close def, which would more than shore up her defense loss, making it a net gain in defenses, and a more reliable defensive gain at that. (assuming she's an enemy phase tank) If you chose Atk/Def bond, it would also make it a net gain of 3 atk too. So the biggest loss is really in her special charges, which is a serious loss. But, she could potentially gain +1 net defenses (more if she wouldn't always be within 2 spaces of all her allies) and +3 atk, while maintaining Guard and DC effects. I think the ability to not be around allies and still have similar defensive stats is probably the most valuable advantage, and might make it worthwhile.

But, I think the special charges might make this set ultimately less viable. You'd be able to fire off a 3-charge special every enemy phase with the LB build (Luna, etc) but you'd be able to fire off an Aether every enemy phase with the other build. Simply because of Aether's sustain and utility (it bolsters her weaker offenses too) I think the standard tank build is probably better... Discussing it has definitely helping clarify the advantages for me

Maybe Garon with a close def or steady stance 4.

I'm using him with water breath, and the extra stats are generally more useful if he's not used for his anti-anti dragon.

I frankly see Fae's new refinable weapon as a formidable alternative to L! Tiki's Divine Mist if she builds special fighter. An additional 6 def and res, 5 hp, and 4 more res on top from refining outweighs the demerits of losing dragon effectiveness in my opinion.

Granted, that is assuming you have a spare DC fodder.
