IS, why do you have to shaft Eliwood so much? Hector has 4 alts, Lyn has 5, how many does he have? 2. And yes, Eliwood and LA!Eliwood are serviceable units in their own right so no complaints, but why only two?
Eliwood has much a right to have as many alts as his other two fellow Lords. If you give two of the THREE main Lords of FE7 a Legendary status and not complete the trio, something is going to be majorly wrong. Like, come on. It's the most iconic trio in Fire Emblem history, not completing it is an actual crime.
And don't get me wrong, I like Hector and Lyn. But they shafted one of the best Lords in FE in Heroes in favor for those two. I like them, but I have the guts to say Lyn isn't that good a character. I'm very neutral on Hector. But Eliwood? My boy? I love Eliwood, I don't get why people hate him. Is it because he's a bad character? Can't be, because he arguably has the best character arc in 7. "Bad unit", well people probably just got an RNG screwed Eli, he's been serviceable every time I played 7. I get it when people have personal preference, (Im showing a lot right now), but tell me what makes him less deserving of a Legendary status or more alts than the other two Lords other than popularity.
*Sigh* What I'm saying is that Eliwood doesn't deserve to get shafted in Heroes as much as he has. His two companions are sitting in the 5 star penthouse, while he's in the 3 star basement doing everyone's laundry. He finally got an alt by the time Lyn was already on her 4th. A mediocre starting kit with his neutral self while Hector gets the almighty DC (which he doesn't even have in 7). His son, a much worse character and unit in his respective game, gets more popularity just because he was in Smash. I just want Eliwood to get some real justice.
Please IS, Legendary Eliwood. Complete the trio.
This was just some of my personal gripes as of late. I'm hyped for L!Hector, and I'm definitely pulling greens this banner. But it just kinda led me to thinking how Eliwood hasn't been served enough justice in this game. I know the same could be said for Seliph and I agree, but I just feel like as of late with all the Lyn and Hector stuff, he hasn't been getting his fair share.
I honestly think that Eliwood's FEH popularity took a nosedive due to his questionable art, which doesn't really do him justice (which didn't stop me from +10 him). They kind of screwed it up from the very beginning, but seeing LA Eliwood gave me hope for his future in this game. Eventually we'll get a version of him that we actually deserve.
