getting a non focus 5 star shouldnt decrease the focus summon rate

as we all know, when you summon and dont get 5 star units, the rate for them to appear continues to grow until you get one. I feel like getting a non focus unit shouldnt also reset the rate for the focus units.

or the game needs to do what Kingdom Hearts Union X does. In that game, when new banners come out, you spend 3000 jewels to summon 10 medals. What it does differently, is that you are guaranteed to get the new focus medal in a set number of summons. I feel like Feh should do this to, allow players to be guaranteed a focus unit within a certain number of failed pulls. Have it be something like, every 100 orbs or something, you're guaranteed to get a focus hero.

This has been a complaint of the community for months. It'll probably never happen, so it's best to get used to it. lol

If it were only every 100 orbs it would be easy to get every unit you want and whales we be far less common, they would lose money, the game would die quicker, badness

100 orbs? Waay to low for a hard pity rate. I had banners where I blew over 300 orbs without getting any 5*, I would've loved a fixed pitybreak there.
I played a lot of KH Union X. It was the only mobile game I played for a year nonstop before FEH came out since I just love the KH franchise, cause lets face it, the gameplay of KH Unchained sucks, it's basically nonexistent.
The main difference is, that FEH is very generous in terms of free orbs(Jewels in KHx) we're getting, but KHx is very generous in terms of upgrading currency(feathers in FEH and merlin medals in KHx).

I think before the demotions it would've been necessary that the pity rate doesn't reset, but lets say is halved. Now we don't have that many bad pity breakers anymore, so I guess it's fine as it is. Still want a hard pity rate at 300 orbs tho, those banners gave me PTSD whenever I see one of the units featured.

Well there is a guaranteed 5* rate at 120 failed pulls, which means a 31/32 chance at a focus unit. If you don't even get that, RNGesus hates you and you should never try any game of chance again.

Regarding getting a non-focus 5 star not decreasing the rate, whales would start sniping orbs which are not in the focus summon, until they reach 100% 5* rate for those colors. It wouldn't make much sense for the developers to discourage players from trying to summon the new characters.
