Genealogy intrigues me so much (@Every Genealogy lover)

It looks so different. I really wish to play it someday for myself or maybe a remake does it justice. I've heard so many things in it that I can't believe they would even have the balls to put in a FE game. Incest I can believe, since it was pretty acceptable in the times FE in placed in and is still preminent in it today. But my god, is it dark. The darkest I've seen FE imply was when Narcian subtly said he was going to r**e Clarine. But Genealogy takes it to a big new level.
It also doesn't even look like a Fire Emblem game Imo. It looks so different from others, just like how Three Houses is looking. It's unique, and if you showed me any of the characters from this game without telling me a thing about them or where they're from, Fire Emblem certianly wouldn't be the first game that pops to mind for most of them. That's how different they look and I really like that. I'm completely blind to the game, minus the themes that the games go over. And that's saying alot since I've read quite a bit into the other FEs but Genealogy and Tharacia I've always stayed away from. Because I really wish to experience this myself.
I wish I could emulate it but my computer isn't fast or reliable enough to emulate something. I've tried. It didn't turn on for months. Granted, I knew nothing about emulating when I attempted it but I still wish I could.
This is coming from a Fates baby and someone who's only played Fates, 7, and SoV. Genealogy, I really hope that if you get a remake and it does you justice. I really hope localisation doesn't screw you over if it happens. And that you keep a standard on how FE shouldn't step back from touchy subjects.

The main one has spoilers.

But it's heavily implied that Lachsis is in love with Eldigan. Though she cannonly does marry someone else.

The Fire Emblem version of GTA.

I want to say Ares and Nanna were in love as well (Elidian's and Lachsis' children). Could be wrong on that, but I could of sworn it was hinted in text. Haven't played the game myself, so I'm not really an expert on the game's lore.

Yeah, they hint at it in their Final Chapter dialogue if you forced them to get together.

Genealogy is basicly game of thrones in fire emblem form.

I do think think it got away with a lot of stuff because they don't show the most dark stuff on screen, and you mostly hear about it. Still often important for the story though.

But in some ways I do think it has aged. It's certainly better that almost all games from that era, but it still shows.

I’ve only played until about Chapter 2, but it’s a really good game. Although it absolutely hates every non-cavalry unit, you get the hang of it. It should definitely get remade, but I don’t think it’ll be as interesting as it is. It’s a really great game and you can play it on a website: emulatoronline.com , but only on a computer. I’ve had some fun with it and I’m thinking of going back and beating it this time.

A bit of an unorthodox way to play it but I'll certainly give it a look when my computer is back up and running. Thanks!

oh, I was thinking about posting something like this a couple days ago. I've never played genealogy and know little about the game but it is easily the most interesting one to me. I think the characters are awesome too. Like you said it is very different looking and has this certain atmosphere that has me intrigued. really hope it gets a remake someday

Definitely agree, I love the darker plot, the circumstances make for some very dynamic and complex villains like Alvis and Ishtar

There is no way your computer is not fast enough to run Snes9x. A vending machine could probably run Snes9x.

Also, fair warning--Thracia is really hard and its current translation being kind of bad doesn't help that. Might want to hold off on that one until a good patch comes out.

Yeah, agree with Thracia. The game itself is hell enough (i speak from experience, i’ve beaten it twice) and dealing with an effortless translation doesn’t help at all
