Gen 1 hero #2 : Stahl the steel

Hello Everyone,
I asked the same question for eyebaliwood last time, but only sir Coffee actually use him.
so now is another underpeformance gen1 unit.
Anybody building this stahl dude ?

why do you think +5 atk is better ?
he will be open to panic ploy too with defiant, also defiant have lower treshold than brazen.

Well, to be fair he's horrible both here and in Awakening (very forgettable unit personality and stat wise IMO) so I wouldn't really think that many people would build him as far as I'm concerned.

Realistically speaking, the most some people will use him for is a TA/Breaker build, since it's cheap and a 4 star merge can make him usable with it.

TLDR; If anybody has some actual crazy build, like heavily invested, I'd be astounded. Even more so than Raig(though Raigh is actually very strong in FE6, so I can see the attachment to building him)

Yeah that's the point of this post.
I wanna know if someone actually maining him in FEH, because you wouldnt know. some people have interesting choice when choosing a character, wether it's their favorite, or maybe because they don't want to be the same with everyone else so they choose less popular character.

I know some people are maining the OG Robin, with that awful 29 everywhere stats, also my friend that play feh maining virion, with merely 9res at +10!
I want to know unique stuff like that.

Stahl is about the dullest character in all of Awakening. Which is too bad, because there's something about him that makes me want to like him, but he's so boring, I just can't.

Someone on my friends list has a +5 Stahl. What they've given him is:
Wo Dao+
Swap
Aether
Brazen Atk/Def 3
Guard 3
Panic Ploy 3
Brash Assault 3 seal

I think that Stahl has a few things going for him. One of which is his balanced stats.

His speed is a superboon, and because his res is semi salvagable, going for a build that focusses on defence might be his best bet.

Now I assume you're running him with good buffs and a healer. Since he'll need sustain.

-hp +spd
Barrier Blade def/spd
Swap
Bonfire

Fury
Quick riptose
Panic ploy/flexible
Close def

This way he'll reach 33 or 36 speed without merges. While his defences are 43/35 against melee enemies. (39/35) with spd refine.

Of course that's not super high and he'll take chip damage. But with a healer he can survive.

You can also go for ethlin's spd/def bond instead, in which case a def or res refine is better.

I don't post a lot here but the moment I saw this I had to. Stahl happens to be my eventual +10 unit, and this is what I have so far

Now, this may seem wacky but it works well. I love using him. It's not final either, I plan on getting a +def -spd, so I can give him Fortress Def/Res 6 and Barrier Blade+ to make him even tankier. I don't recommend building him unless you really like him like I do though, lul
