Geirskögul effect?

so in the game it says it will grant attack, defense and speed. But i dont see like a green arrow showing up on my allies when they attack. how do i know if these effects are happening?

Its +3 def to HER naturaly in her stats.

The spd and attack boosts are like drives, so they are in combat only and dont show up on allies stats

so that means as long as i am near her, the effect should trigger?

As long as you are within 2 spaces (Diagonal does not count as one space, only cardinal directions), and the unit has the correct weapon, they will get the buff. It will not show on their screen, but it will activate in combat.

There are different types of buffs: Visible and Invisible.

Visible buffs are indicated by the number turning blue. This is caused by effects like Hone, Fortify, etc. Any skill that says "...for 1 turn." are visible buffs. These do not stack, meaning you can't use two Hone Attack buffs to buff one unit because only the highest buff (or lowest debuff) will take place.

Invisible buffs occur during battle, like Spurs, Drives, Death Blow, etc. Any skill that says "...during combat." are invisible buffs and will not have an actual indication of it appearing since it only happens during combat. You'll know it's working by completing the required actions. For example, Brave Lucina's weapon requires a unit to be within 2 spaces and have a sword, lance, axe, bow, or dagger. So, if you have a sword unit within 2 spaces of Brave Lucina while she has Geirskögul equipped, then they will get the buff. These buffs do stack, so if you had 3 Brave Lucina's and 1 Chrom, then Chrom would get the buff 3 times.
