This gc seems pretty unfair

Maybe I'm looking at this wrong but why tf does team Hector get all that space and team Lyn and Eliwood are placed basically right beside each other.

Shortest distances between HQs:
Lyn to Hector: 6 areas [corrected from my initial count of 8]
Eliwood to Hector: 6 areas
Eliwood to Lyn: 4 areas

Areas closer to army HQ than to opponent HQ: [needs to be recounted]
Lyn: 7
Eliwood: 6
Hector: 10

You're not correctly reading the map. If Lyn was 4 from Eliwood, then there would be a battle on the red space below her. Conversely, I'd be willing to bet Lyn has a path directly to the green space above her, and her distance to Eliwood and Hector is almost equal.

I agree with the second part but not the first. Eliwood's HQ is connected to the territory immediately to the north, and I think you missed that.

I'm correcting the Lyn to Hector distance.

Your eyes are deceiving you. Physically your bases are very close, but in turns, Lyn and Eliwood are only 7 spaces from Hector's base, and 6 from each other's, so the effect is probably not as severe as you think. Hector's team is just doing well.
