Gacha Conspiracy

Some people are gonna be annoyed that I keep posting a lot and I get it. It can be annoying seeing me constantly post taking up a spot that could've potentially been someone else asking a genuine question. I'm not gonna be posting anymore. This is my last post regarding this banner.

People got H!Myrrh easily the minute the banner dropped; some people got multiple. Cool, RNG works like that I guess.

But what if the RNG works against you? What if there isn't an RNG but some predetermined equation that takes into account the amount played and the probability you'll spend orbs?

I mean, this is some straight up bullshit.

Call me a tin foiled conspiracy idiot or whatever but it's almost like the game wants me to buy orbs. I spend a shitload of my time (even at work) logging in, doing something mundane like autobattling, leveling up other units, etc., and it's like the game notices how active I am and is trying to get me to buy orbs. My playtime is probably high for someone who logs in everyday and who's only bought the starter pack and nothing else. That makes me wonder if a player's playtime is correlated to the amounts of 5 stars they get? Maybe people who get multiple 5*s is because of their low playtime and the 5 stars work to lure them into the gacha scheme. I've noticed how some people will have shit luck but as soon as they buy orbs, guess what? Immediate fountain of 5 stars. What a coincidence.

Or maybe I'm having some real shitty luck and it's becoming more and more frustrating since I have no ways to replenish my orbs. Maybe I'm just trying to find a blame since the game isn't going the way I want it to.

Had the best possible outcome to get Myrrh at 5% and now I'm at 5.25%.

No. That's just maths + confirmation bias.

Also it's just logical that people who buy orbs get more 5 stars, the more you pull, the more units you get. There is no system evaluating how much you spent to reward you, it's just maths..

I mean, it could be, right? We have no clue how they handle the summoning system. Even if they would say that it's like every other gatcha game, they could do something in the background...
But this goes to deep for me so I'm out and getting my tin foil hat out of my closet.

Definitely a tin foil conspiracy. And this is easy to prove wrong with one counter example.

I have seen people buy a LOT of orbs and get nothing. And I have seen people use only F2P orbs and get a LOT of stuff. And vice-versa.

So, there is no correlation between the two.

At 6.00% I got a Morgan(m) with -Atk on this banner. After I spent around 500 orbs I gave up. I got like 5 pity breakers in total and none of them were any good tbh.

There's no way to know for sure, short of hacking the game or being a guy who worked on those mechanics.

But this is just a vent-post, so no reason to dig into it.

Just try to look at all the times you did get something you want off a banner and hope you hit that 3~5% next time!

I had the best of luck when Cyl 2 dropped in.
Every 3,50 % I would get a Brave Unit or multiple pity breakers.

I got all of them and I'm used to buying only the orb packet with the bonus present each month.
After that Banner, I got to 3,75 % on Hellbindi banner when I got a Brave Hector (!) and got a normal Hector on free summon on his banner.
Then, this freakin Halloween banner came out.
I'm already at 5 % and I didn't even snipe, I just want any armor unit of this banner.
Loki came out and got 3,25 % at her banner as well.
I'm thinking of not buying again the monthly orb pack to support anymore this cancer game.
In my last 180 total orbs I haven't got a single 5 star! Not even a pitybreaker to stop! It's like what you said, the game wants us to buy orbs.
In every Legendary Banner I drop about 75 - 100 orbs and will never get a New Legendary Hero.
I only got Lyn, Ike and Fjorm.
I wish I hold all these orbs and sniping for Zelgius when he comes out again.
That's the shit I'll be doing from now on.
After 15 orbs on each new banner I'm done.
And I will stop buying the monthly orb packs.
No more supporting this sudden extreme turn of luck model.

Edit: I forgot to mention that another reason for summoning every time is because I wanna get 1 more Reinhardt, Gwendolyn and 2 Roys for making them +10. Guess what? Since the start of game I summoned only 8 Roys but 14 Soleils (which came out 1 year later!) and Marths.
The game is definately doing its' best at this point to stop your plans. It's definately programmed to work that way by keeping track of your merged five star units.

I feel this all the time. Especially when you get a high percentage, get a pity break, cave and buy orbs, and then first circle get the character you wanted.... I'm on to you IS -_-

It's funny you say this because I play all the time, while my fiancé only logs on when there's a new banner to use her free summon. She gets a ridiculous amount of 5* from her free summons, which has led me to joke that the game knows she never plays and they're gifting her free 5*s so that it can entice her to play more. I don't actually believe this to be the case, but it's just a funny coincidence and interesting to see others feel similar.

It's like a bank in a casino, IS always wins. Some singular cases are incredibly lucky and unlucky but most of us have average luck with streaks of bad/good pulls here and there. I think there must be some system to prevent players from quitting though.

Thing is that every gatcha system will have to be a unfair towards players. This is why ppl play it and love it I honestly downloaded FEH only to pull some random things off orbs and found pretty fun game behind. It's been 2 months and I see it's limits and painful repetition that is hitting hard but I still have some high end content to clear and pulling heroes is as exciting as ever.

I will not say that ppl should not buy orbs but seriously buying too many of them just makes everything worse, not only it's harder to quit after larger "investment" but in case of terrible luck you will just feel like pile of shit.

All in all if you like gatcha games you better find a way to say "NO" at some point or take short breaks off the game to reduce that summoning impulse. Remember that it's YOU that should play the game not other way around.
