Fury outdated?
I was surprised to learn that a lot of people find fury outdated. I have more demand for fury than I have supply. Squishy desperation mages (or just that kind of statline, ex: S.Linde), ploy artists like Arvis and Saias, units with a bit of both such as Caeda, some dancers to make them really hard to one-round, maybe on Raven if I want him to start the fight against a red or M.Grima occasionally; there are other skills I like (sitting on about 6 breath skill fodders, for example, 4 DC fodders and 3-4 atk/spd bond as well as some L&D and swift sparrow) but I could definitely use an extra Hinata or five or ten.
Is it just that everyone already put fury on the units they want it on?
EDIT: and I find it especially surprising because a bunch of you were defending the skill less than 24 hours ago. It's not like you all have cast it aside

I agree, I'll take all the Fury fodder I can get. It works best in situations you mentioned, and I also slap it on units I use pretty much exclusively for AA for a cheap build. It may not be an optimal use, but there's only so much I'm willing to invest in a unit like Cain (no offense to any Cain fans lol)

I only use fury in units that can use almost all the stats for survive a retaliation or a hit, like Caeda, Titania, Ryoma, Marisa or Spring Chrom.
Or units than need a safe way to enter desperation range like Nino or Summer Corrin.
In the other hand for tanks i never use the skill, i need them to take zero damage not 6 at the end of every fight. For example Myrrh is better with fort defense than her OG fury because she can keep her QR more time.

So, Nilla is right in that it's a bandaid
It's almost never the BEST option for a unit thought there are some exceptions
I've had a Nino I've almost completely abandoned because she is only used in either challenges that need a green mage to complete, or if its SA/AA where it's one round but need lots of units
Fury takes away HP, but gives stats, its nonlethal HP, so it really only matters for extended periods of time, so things like tempest trial, or CC or some GHBs where you need that extra like 3 HP in order to live a hit
Other than that its a free boost, that doesnt kill you and can let you reach certain thresholds (think ploys, think speed checks or specs based on stats)

I have a hard time thinking of desperation units as exceptions because there are so many of them, especially among ranged units.
And I don't think it should be a surprise that fury is not optimal for most units? If there were only 4-5 options in the game for A-skills then maybe fury would be optimal for a majority, but blow skills are 10-15, stances are another 10-15, brazens are 4, DC/CC, breath skills are popular, so we have 40+ A-skills.

I don't use fury much for one reason I lack fodder, at the moment I have not a single copy of Hinata in my barracks so I had to use alternatives. LnD 2 &3, darting blow (cuz Florina was stalking me), mirror strike, I have one defiant atk on merged Sophia with wolf tome btw. Although fury is great mixed phase skill, when I think about it.
Still when it comes for builky units I tend to use earh boost or fortress defence or something to keep as much hp as possible.
