If you ever struggle with Surtr and you've been playing for a long while, chances are you've been given an easy counter for free in the past.

Just needs TA, Axebreaker, and refined Armorsmasher.

This is implying they did the TT and got him or for those who bought him with grails (which imo is a waste if he's not your favorite character).

Lilina is a fairly common 3-4 star unit who can be made into a beast for about 22k feathers.

If you've been playing the game ever since he was a TT unit most likily you have this little bundle of yuri love by now who is far better, and you don't even need TA

I suggested the Tobster because he was free and extremely easy to build for the role. (He already comes with Armorslayer.)

If you already have one, then you don't have to build Tobin, it's just a suggestion for those who need a cheap and easy Surtr counter. Even for something small like Arena Assault.

By that logic Selena would still be better starts off with Armorslayer and TA, 3-4* availability and IV's, both Selena and Tobin share almost the same stat line

You seem to be dodging the fact he was 100% free.

Sure, not every single player is going to have him, and I understand why because different players started playing at different times. (I also edited the original post to say "and you've been playing for a long while.") But he's been available more times for free than Selena has.

Also, Tobin has more attack than a +Atk Selena. (Granted the difference is only 2.)

90% of people hold onto Selena for repo, with that the majority of people most likely has her especially if you've been playing since tobin came out, yah I know Tobin is 100% free but it still requires you to inherit TA & axebreaker onto him and spend refining stones on a unit that's not that great besides being an axe armor counter, sure the same thing can be said about Selena but again she gets IV's so she has better potential than tobin

I'm aware that she's better than Tobin, since she has IVs and easier merges. There are lots of units better than him. Free is still free though; it's one of two main reasons I suggest him to people who need a Surtr counter. No valuable orbs (and potentially feathers, depends on when you started playing) had to be spent to get the 5 star version of the unit. The only thing you're gonna need orbs for is the fodder, which should be relatively easy to get when you've got a Red Focus target on a banner.

I'm just saying Selena requires the absolute least amount of investment at all with only needing axebreaker from a 4* Laslow to counter Wary Fighter and 20/22k feathers which Tobin will need the same and TA from a 4* Roy, unless you still have the 5* Tobin which for some reason that I can't remember I don't have
