Free hero L!Ike in retrospect

Personally, I wanted L!Ike. That's because I had Hector, PA!Azura (NY wasn't out then), and Winter Tharja, and at that time, I had no need for DC/CC/Vengeful fodder.
In retrospect, Ike was a great choice. His A skill and unique special, as well as his full kit makes him an easy choice for Arena, if you have the bonus unit in your main squad. Also, he's a great solo unit. Winter Tharja, while good, needs armor buffs to truly shine. PA!Azura is a dancer, and everyone has Olivia, so we don't really "need" PA!Azura. Hector would have been great on his own too, but lacks a Breath skill.

I was also someone who didn't want L!Ike. I pulled one on the B8 banner when going for Sanaki, and even before then I didn't want him, I wanted W!Tharja.

I still haven't used the free L!Ike that they gave... I hardly use the one I pulled, either. He's an okay unit, but he's fairly underwhelming, especially when looking at the amount of sword units the game already throws at you. Warding Breath isn't really a skill that many units can use effectively, and his B skill isn't really great.

I foddered him for Warding Breath the moment I got him, so I really didn't mind not getting winter Tharja. In retrospect, I should have at least unlocked his lvl. 40 convo first.

RIP my Ike. Killed him for Warding Breath on A!Tiki.

I voted for Legendary Ike the entire way. I don't regret the choice in the slightest. He is definitely the best Legendary Hero we've ever gotten (runner-ups are probably Ephraim and Grima), and he has good fodder that is extremely versatile. Warding Breath+ is a good skill. Dragons really appreciate it, and there are other options as well. Heck, you could even put it on Fjorm if you wanted to, and make a fantastic magic tank. He is a fantastic unit to use in F2P guides. Literally just slap QR on him and watch him go.

That's not to say the other choices weren't nice too. Hector is DC fodder, and Thotja was fantastic fodder (CC and Vengeful Fighter). PA!Azura was probably the worst choice out of the four. Great starter unit, but completely useless to players who already had her (+1 merge isn't that important unless you're really trying to max merge her). Overall, however, I think Ike was the most versatile, for both newer and older players, and thus I am very satisfied with how the voting ended.

I wanted Bridal Caeda then during the finals from first to last I voted PA Azura, Hector(For fodder), W Tharja, L Ike.
I didn't care for him at all and I still never use him. I prefer L Robin and Fjorm and his Brave version better. I always wanted PA Azura or PA Olivia though but Bridal Caeda was the one I wanted the most q-q

I mainly voted for L!Ike, Hector, and Myrrh when the polls were first open, giving most of my votes to Ike. By the time the four finalists were announced, in truth, I didn't really mind if he lost, since the other runner ups were great--except PA!Azura since I already had a neutral IV one and wouldn't know what to do with the free one.

He's been a great unit for me, and I really like using him for Tempest Trials and the GHB/BHB/LHB. I'm really glad that he ended up being the free unit!

He is a spurb unit, mine is +6, saving orbs until he returns... support him with more spd and infantry pulse for truely heroic feats!
