Forging bonds is creeping me out
Seriously. Ladies. I'm a straight woman. Your boobs and contortions hold literally zero interest for me, and you're creeping me right the heck out. Owain, I appreciate your concern, but for goodness sake, don't encourage them. I don't need you to judge their game of which one I like better. I'd much rather both of them leave and you and Kliff vie for my attention.
*sigh* If the game wants anyone who isn't a straight male to eff off, I wish they'd just say so. I sure would love, if they're going to continue to have units throwing themselves at me, if they would let us choose which gender we'd rather have giving us those flirty comments. Because when the one you're not interested is doing it while the one you are interested in is sitting on the sidelines, it makes the game more uncomfortable than fun.

Wow, okay. So all the other things people complain about on here, I assume you'd tell them the same thing? And if they'd made this where, absent any female option, it was two scantily-clad and provocatively-posed male characters overtly flirting with you, the player, and any men came on here and complained about it, you'd tell them the same?

Well, good for you. Maybe next time they do some fanservice for women, you'll get the chance to tell them.
Oh wait, you won't, because that never happens.
I've probably spent over $1,000 on this game (no, I'm not proud of it), but this thing alone is making me consider quitting. Not this particular thing, mind, but the way this particular thing really feels like the game makers saying, "No girls allowed. If you're a girl, GTFO. This game isn't for you." So I'm very tempted to take my big wads of cash and leave.
Which ... doesn't seem like the kind of reaction they should be going for, if they want the game to make money.

A straight male I willI like there fight, because it is funny as hell. But, it is unnecessary. Nilla is an ass ignore him. I feel you, on the not allowing users to choose gender or avoid unwanted fan service. There has been a couple of times when I wished they chose less provocative ALTS for some characters.
The problem is, this game mostly tragets single straight males that don't really have any good real female conection in their life. I hateit when they try to expoit people.
P.S. I have spent a lot of money here too, I am not proud of it either. They made the game this way to get people to spend money. It is quite sad they felt they had to do that.

I may be male (bi), but I'm still sitting here like "Why can't we have a shirtless Sigurd?" Cause whenever I look at Sigurd I think "I bet he looks really good without his shirt on." But like how you couldn't date Sae in Persona 5, sometimes I just can't have nice things.

It's kind of bad that Kiran is just a dead husk with no personality, because he represents "the player". If Kiran actually had something to say and had a personality, I could imagine that it would be easier to assume the role even as a female player.
I mean, even when you play a roleplaying game, where the protagonist is a different gender than you are, you can play the role, if the script is good, but here they just doomed themselves from the very beginning, because Kiran is nothing.
Don't expect any improvements on this part in this game, it will save you some dissapointment. I do enjoy Loki for some weird reason tho.

I really don't see the issue. Just don't read it, simple as that. That and, you do know that these two characters alongside many others in the FE multiverse are like this right? Camilla is an obvious example.
That being said, it's supposed to be uncomfortable no matter the gender. Those two women aren't there for tit relief, it's they're characters.
Aversa needs you to validate her existence. She was a shit person before, so her need to be around somebody that wants her is all that keeps her alive. It's a coping mechanism.
And Loki does it more than likely due to your power. She latches unto those that are seemingly winning to cause pure Chaos. This is just her trying to get higher up in the food chain.
TLDR You're taking this way too at face value and if it really bothers you just ignore it. Most JRPG's are like this and FE is no exception.

Hm, yes, and I hate Camilla too.
I would disagree with your assessment of the purpose of this whole thing. If they didn't expect male players to enjoy the boobs and flirting, they wouldn't design the characters this way and have them act this way.
It's just annoying that they pretend the summoner is a blank slate for you to put yourself in, even letting you give the player character your name, being careful to not give the summoner a specific appearance or gender (as much as possible), as if to pretend that it's really you as this character. And then go and pull stuff like this.
If they had male characters who were equally seductive/scantily-clad, and as overtly flirtatious toward the player, I might think you had a point. But since this is purely female characters who act this way, I just can't take any such arguments seriously.

um, ok. Loki and Aversa are not going out of character at least. I can see why someone could get uncomfortable by those conversations but does it matter?
The first thing I thought of was how females would feel like playing this round of forging bonds and just came to the conclusion that this is just how those characters behave towards people, male or female. (we are not even 100% sure if Loki is really a female (I think she is but her lore is messy)).
btw even if you could change your avatars gender (honestly the avatar is already gender neutral) IS would never change the dialogue. its already gender neutral. for example if we were to switch around Kliffs and Owains dialogue with Aversas and Lokis it wouldn't make sense anymore. All that would be twice the work for IS so I doubt they will do that.

Would it matter if they switched one of them with Tharja? She does not care if you're male or female, and I'm guessing the same goes for these two. Loki has always been a troll since the moment she stepped foot in the story, and Aversa was there to kinda fuel the fire.
You being male or female doesn't change their attitude towards you, and this isn't the first time it's been done.

If so, then I apologise, but you putting in that you're a straight woman was kinda unneeded info then.
And, again, this is not the first time it's been done. Fire Emblem is just another game on the list. Even in Fates, the closest you got to a scantily clad male was, what, Odin?
This event is just supposed to be fanservice. Like most other games designed in Japan, it's for the thirsty men and women out there that want to see boobs, hence why it's ALWAYS done. It's best to just accept it.

Even setting aside any sexual element, I don't need or want every character to constantly fawn over me, telling me how awesome I am and how unfulfilling their lives were before they met me. As a straight guy, my eyes rolled so hard that they nearly fell out of my head before I could find the Skip button.
So, no. Doing the same with male characters wouldn't even things out, it would only double down on the cringe. But ego-stroking power fantasy is what sells though, and the media landscape is overflowing with it.
On the premise of "of course they act that way, it's their character"... That makes it sound like the writers' hands are tied by some pre-existing law of nature. But they had full control over those parameters during the concept stage, so they don't get a pass. Of course, on projects at big studios, writing is a often group effort, so it's a collective responsibility, not an individual one.

Agree. Where is the fun of EVERY woman wanting you? Seriously and not even sarcastic. That leaves no excitement or challenge or efforts to step it up, and I find it boring. They don’t have to hate your guts and creep you out like Ayra, but where is the middle ground? Maybe that’s why I’m not a huge fan of the Summoner Being a part of the game in that way.
But yeah, I feel for you in that sense KAAAAAZE. You do have it worse than I do in this case!

Honestly, as a lesbian I seriously agree with this. Even if boobs do actually interest me lmao. I don't think the answer is necessarily that we need a ton of male fanservice, the issue is the sheer amount and how over the top it is. I wouldn't be at all bothered by characters (regardless of gender) becoming somewhat attached, close to and maybe even a little flirty/suggestive. Although it would be great to both tone things down in places and add some variety to the mix, I definitely agree. Even if you're of the opinion that more straight men play this game than any other sexuality and gender identity it's straight up bad business to ignore a significant percentage of your customers.
Personally, I find what we get really creepy. It seems to pander to a very specific demographic amongst straight men and just reading it feels weird to me.
