Foddering my only original Hector?

I pulled a +Atk -Hp Halloween Myrrh and was wondering if it would be worth it to give her Distant Counter from my only original Hector. I already have his other three alts and am not sure if it is worth it to keep him.

H.Myrrh is definitely worth DC. The only question is who to sac and when. How much do you use original Hector and did you invest a lot in him?

Seasonal untis are never worth heavy investment into due to the rarity of being able to +10 them versus other units like brave units or things like ayra or amelia.

If you like to merge 5* exclusives then I think you have a case. I personally don't so when a unit is as good as H.Myrrh I'm ok with investing a bit even if I don't get to merge her.

For example, she has more stats than A.Tiki+10 before weapon refine (especially 10 stats from BoF) so if it's reasonable to put DC on A.Tiki then I think it's even more reasonable to put it on H.Myrrh.

Overall answer: It depends

Depends on:
1) Was Hector built -> invested in? Weapon refined? If invested, how much? Rare skills like Bold Fighter?
2) Does Hector have max HM? It might be a while before you get another. Good idea to max this before sacking using farming methods/normal play
3) Plan to summon more copies of Myrrh? As others pointed out, seasonals are not entirely worth their weight for such a rare skill. If you plan to heavily invest in summoning more copies then definitely worth good consideration. If you are not going after more copies, this will be somewhat wasteful. There are many units that would appreciate DC simply to be more universal. Does your core arena teams have DC? Do you not care about the arena? If you have any plan to get to tier 20/21, this would be a huge waste UNLESS you do merge up Myrrh. If the arena is something you have 0% interest in, or Myrrh is just a favorite unit, this is simply fine to do. While the dual skills will simply outweigh DC for favorite units, DC is still typically better on more permanent units that have more merge potential (like normal Myrrh).

I was at this spot at the beginning of the year. I got a lucky LA Hector and simply stopped using OG Hector. I didn't further invest into OG Hector, and eventually sacked him to Camilla (OG). Camilla was a character I identified as a merge project and is +8 currently. DC helped her a lot both in arena and other content, so she appreciated it a lot. I have since summoned another OG Hector. I then farmed him up to 5k HM and sitting in my barracks for the next project. I've contemplated both M! Corrin and Marth (OG), though with the trends of more dual skills I never pulled the trigger. Dragons are typically the best receiver of DC now since they very much enjoy their A slot skills whether it is steady/warding breath, or more budget options like Fury, TA, etc - depends on the build/use. So even Fae, A! Tiki and others would be a good use for DC assuming you don't need to use Lightning Breath. Tiki moreso since she has a unique weapon which scores more in arena, but Fae using Light Breath, or swapping it out for Dark Breath could work very well too. It all depends on the desired builds, along with their merge potential. The merge potential comes in handy if you are creating a cheerleader for your bonus unit.

I'd say not to because seasonal is what it is. If you're okay with not seeing her for another year and her also being in the lovely red pool than by all means. It's a possibility she might get overshadowed before then. Wait for the new legendary imo. Imo she'll be okay without DC.
