Fodder my only +atk Grima to my (soon-to-be) +10 Sheena?

So I got lucky enough to pull Grima (finally) today as I’ve been searching for Vengeful Fighter for a LONG time. He actually managed to be +atk so I’m not sure if I should fodder him off or possibly wait. I’m not planning on spending orbs to pull another one as I’m f2p and I’m waiting for CYL2.

Sheena is great for an arena core (and in general), especially if you're F2P. I suggest foddering Grima and not looking back. I actually got and foddered my first Hardin (neutral) to Effie today and made her +10.

Edit: You could get his 5* lvl 40 conversation and even his 5000 HM before foddering him if you want.

The important difference here is a +10 DC Effie can do everything better than an unmerged Hardin. A +10 Sheena is significantly weaker than an unmerged +ATK Grima in most situations. 60 adaptive attack vs 48 physical attack before considering Grima has a free A slot.

But you're not gonna use an unmerged Grima over a +10 Sheena for arena. And attack isn't everything. I have a (+1) -Spd +Atk Grima myself and he's not that fearsome, he can't take much abuse. Even the +10 Grimas I fight are usually very easy to handle.

Yes these were my thoughts as well. Sheena is particularly versatile because of her amazing mixed bulk. And I mainly focus on my arena team (which consists of Guidance support/Armor killing Cherche, Steady Breath Roy, Berkut’s Lance Effie, and Sheena) so I’m not going to be using Grima for Arena but I know he is extremely useful for other modes like Arena Assault and such, which is why I’m hesitant. My Sheena isn’t performing as well as she COULD be if she had VF, mainly because I run QR3 with Aether and Slaying Axe for further sustainability. If she had VF I could get rid of Slaying Axe and give something more beneficial as she would be able to activate Aether in one round of combat

Report

No, in fact, you should keep Slaying Axe for that.

Enemy attack - Aether from 4 to 3

Sheena's counter - Aether from 3 to 1

Enemy attack (if they double) - Aether from 1 to 0 (ready)

Sheena's counter with Aether

VF only gives +1 charge when the user counters, BF when the user attacks in their own phase. Breath skills give +1 both when receiving an attack and counterattacking in the enemy phase.

Oh I didn’t know! I knew it didn’t give additional cooldown when both units attacked like the Breath skills, I always thought it gave them from the enemy’s attacks...

That’s good to know then. Thanks.

Only 1 in 5 Grima are going to be +ATK and you're probably not going to summon 5 more Grima in the rest of the time you play this game. Can't recommend foddering that IV. For now QR3 scores just as well in arena and can be run in the seal slot freeing up your B slot for Bold/Wary Fighter, Guard, or a Chill.

Keep in mind with the arena changes you may want your Sheena to be more supportive rather than hitting lethal on the bad guys so your bonus unit can pick up the kills.

Report

That’s a good point. For all I know more units will be released with the skill or (though super unlikely) someone gets released with it at 4*. So I may just wait.

Report

Yes, 4* is unlikely. But almost certainly VF and BF will continue to show up on new armored units. Keep your Grima. That is the best IV you can get and the highest attack stat in the game.

Report

While Sheena apretiates Vengefull fighter, it's not a skill that she desperately needs to have to work, just a regulare qr3 can do the job if you don't have spare Grimas to fodder
