Flashing Blade for Fallen Celica?

I got a Fallen Celica today with +Spd -Res. Since she has that neat chill speed ability and quite a neat base speed with this IV set I thought about which A skill to give her, and I didn't want to go the Fury route since I don't like just shoving fury onto everything.

Since I have a spare Mia I thought about giving her Flashing Blade. Do you think it is a waste or a good idea?

It's a good idea in theory, though a problem with Flashing Blade is it takes the A slot that is usually the skills that give the attack/speed buffs. It works on Mia because 43 spd allows her to proc it on pretty much everyone besides Ayra if they don't have buffs. (This assumes no Zofia buff)

In your case, with Chill spd I would say it has a decent chance of working as long as you're hitting the target of the Chill, and if it's your first strike with beloved zofia. If you come across a team of units who have multiple units 38 spd and more with different value, then you'll have a problem.

My very personal subjective opinion is that I would prefer something a bit more consistent. If you really want the special procs, give her Swift Sparrow2/DB3, then use Heavy Blade seal.

Thanks for the input. I think I will consider it a while longer and just try out how well she performs with a cheaper A skill, and give her Flashing blade only when I feel she needs it.

Regarding your concern, I think Celicas weapon skill already bars her from fighting consecutively, as it only boosts her at full HP and damages her after her first battle, so she wouldn't be able to fight a full squad of speedy enemies in the first place. This, however, I will try out to see how it works out in practice before I make my final decision on it. Thank you again for your input.

Yup F!Celica has to be either build for an Alpha strike, or sustain. But not both. If you want to go sustain you can put Renewal 3 on her to get back health and you can go all Zofia every 2 turns.

The thing about Flashing Blade for an Alpha Strike build is you might be better off just doing Moonbow with an Atk/Spd A slot in terms of raw damage, since Moonbow doesn't care if you run flashing blade or not, only Luna does. But the Luna's extra damage may be offset by running a Atk boost A slot anyway.

I have the exact same ivs as your fallen celica, i too am not sure what to give. I might give her death blow 3, renewal 3, hone attack 3, attack +3 and maybe special of sol instead of luna I didn teach her chill speed as 38 speed is fast enough for her

I'd like to keep chill speed regardless. It's just so nice to be able to slow down enemies before the combat even starts. I'm using Chrom and Soren a lot and now Celica will likely help me out a lot in upcoming GHBs as well, even if she doesn't actually fight anything shes already a great asset just having on the team that way. But I can see wanting to switch in renewal to keep her weapon active.

I'm not sure Sol will work for that. I *think* she will receive the damage after any combat if she ends at full HP, so even she starts without full HP and Sol heals her up, she would then receive 4 damage and therefore break her weapon skill again. However I have not tested this, so I can't say for sure, I did notice someone in my friend list had Sol on their fallen Celica and swapped it out with Glimmer now, though.
