Fighting avatar

I re-watched book 2 opening movie and I had a strange idea...
In the movie our avatar fights veronica, so I imagined that near the end of Book 2 our avatar will become a colorless gunner... I went further and I thought that our avatar's power do not come from leveling up (he can't), his stats could depend on how many units you raised to 5*lvl40 or something like that.
May sound crazy. What do you this of this bizarre idea?

I would actually love that idea. However, he would have to be railed into PVE only if that were the case, since the higher tier players who have 100+ 5 stars at lvl40 would have a clear advantage.

I would actually like for them to add a protagonist as is, maybe not to cutscenes, but as a playable unit per se, like you said colorless with his gun. The problem with a unit like that is that either he'll be total ass, or that they'll give us total control of his creation and his stats and there will be gunners with 0 def and res but stupid high stats when it comes to his offense. But yeah, I would love the character/summoner to be usable. I miss the ability to level characters like Robin/Corrin as I saw fit, gave the game more replayability in the long run IMO.

Exactly what I'd be worried about. There would have to be restrictions on what you could and couldn't do with the Summoner.

I would love that so I can actually do something instead of just being a hero spawning wh*re, thing is a lot units voice lines and dialogue refer to how they'll protect you since you can't fight, so it'll be a bit weird them still saying when you can fight. Still, I would love for them to be a playable unit.

It would be interesting, but hopefully a PVE element only. That would be a PVP nightmare.
