Fierce Stance for Xander

He has been overshadowed for quite a bit and I feel that by giving him Fierce Stance allows Xander to be a good physical bait unit with a respectable killing power in return.

I don't like the idea of running Fury on him as it will render Quick Riposte useless far too quickly when his HP falls below the threshold.

This is probably the second time I asked about Xander's viability and I would like to use him without the assistance of Fury. I am aware it's good for majority of the units, but he definitely wants something else for once.

Your thoughts and opinions of this matter?

Yup, its a really solid A slot for him due to his already high Def. When he counter attacks he has 54 atk which is great. A sacred seal such as +3 Def to make up for the missing 3 from Fury or +3 Atk are great options

Honestly I just run Atk +3 on him and its pretty decent but Fierce Stance ofc would be superior

It's a great fit for him. No question. I mean, he probably would really appreciate Steady Breath the most (what QR tank wouldn't), but this is probably the next best skill for him. Distant Def would also be great. I, like you, do not want to run Fury on a QR build, so I've had mine built with Def +3.
