Feh dying?
Recently I've heard a lot of people talking about how this game is dying and how the recent changes that IS did are killing it, what do you think about that? and if you think is dying how would you revitalice it?

I think adding beast units is going to help quite a bit, but it'll slowly die out. It's still doing great just people aren't enjoying nearly as much as they used to.
Everything has a life span and it's only a matter of time before something fully dies. I think adding a couple new game modes every once in a while will prevent it from dying too quick... and to quit pandering to the whales so much.

Heres the thing, anyone thats played since launch will tell you the game is dying, because to them, everytime newcontent comes out, they clear it in an hour or two and then have nothing going on.
Meanwhile newer players that dont have everything capped have tons to do because theyre playing catch up.
Its the same problem that happens with every kinda of game, look at MMO's, the hardcore players hit level cap in a day and then wait sometimes months at a time for new content to happen, meanwhile newer or casual players are still ooing and awwing at everything at a much slower pace, so that when new content comes out, they still havent finished the old content.
That being said, the game is dying. IS isn't addressing issues fast enough and keeping players in the loop, along with making changes that players dont want. Example of these include waiting TWO YEARS to add beasts, giving bonus points for kills to bonus units, having two characters hit a staggering five alts, which was enough for the community to throw a global shitfit over it, which cause the developers to announce banners almost half a year in advance for damage control, then look at what happened yesterday, they announced a new feature a month early because the new seasonal banner is literally nothing but alts, something they KNOW players did not want.
What IS did was something devs should NEVER do, which is making assumptions about they player base. Other examples of companies taking the piss are Blizzard with the Diablo mobile game, Bethesda with Fallout 76, Everything EA has touched, all these companies went full retard, some have done it continuously, and they suffer severe backlash because of it. Hell, bethesdas original mobile diablo trailer was taken down and reuploaded because of all the dislikes it got on youtube.
When players arent happy, things die, this is why feh is dying, the devs aren't listening to players. What the Devs really need to do is have quarterly surveys to gauge the playerbase and figure out what the players' eyes see from the devs work. If the players overwhelmingly dont like a new feature, it should be removed or replaced, just like relay defense. They've been dropping the ball hard this year, and if they keep doing it and refuse to learn or listen, the game will just straight up die within the next year.
This isn't the EA fandom where the community presents their ass on a silver platter ready and waiting to be buttfucked, if the players dont want something and they keep getting it, they'll walk away,

Great analysis and completely agree. On the positive, I think the few things IS has done well was in fact delaying beast units... why so long? To keep us hooked, and have a brand new arsenal of characters. Beast infantry will make us rejoice. Beast cav will make us cry. Beast armors will make us spend. We hate it took so long, but (if they did it right), we will love it and say it was worth the wait, this prolonging the game.
But yeah, overpowered armors (talking to surtr), countless alts, no new modes, and the like will kill the game

Nilla makes some great points and I agree with most of it. The problem for day 1 players (like myself) is many of the game modes are a grind, which is ok, but not exciting. Summoning has become much less exciting as 95% of the 3-4* units I pull are not worth anything to me personally. I'll never merge them to plus 10 and they are not good for fodder...so I just wasted the orbs.
In defense of the 5th Azura alt (which is annoying), the game continues to be supported because players pay money for Orbs, and the data must support Camilla, Azura, etc... generates $$$ for IS. If people don't like it, they shouldn't spend money on that banner. That is the only thing which will change behavior by the developer.

I definitely agree there needs to be new content to cater to both competitive/hardcore and casual players and I think they haven't been doing their best at balancing both. Neither set of players should feel left out or pushed out, and neither should be criticized for how they enjoy the game. ^w^
But the game currently does force both groups to play in very similar fashions. Personally, I wanna relax when I play this game, but for those seeking a challenge I feel like they should also be able to get that from this game as well. I just don't wanna be forced into a brutal challenge when I'm more focused on completing the collection catalogue rather than getting high merges.
I'd gladly forfeit a place on a ranking board if Arena and Aether Raids had an alternative mode with a score/reward system more like Tempest Trials. Maybe a bit on the "grindy" side, but less "slam my head against a brick wall" feeling.
I guess maybe I'm suggesting separating the casual and competitive communities with alternative modes, so both sides can feel better facilitated? Or maybe it's a terrible idea?
Then again I'm also one of those people that thought Relay Defense was "just okay", but the rewards "not worth the effort" and I really enjoy the Forging Bonds content, but don't feel there's enough of it in relation to say weekly Rival Domains, Arena, and Aether Raids. I would definitely enjoy a weekly Bonds event as an alternative to having to do Arena and Raids, even if they do repeat. XD ^w^
