Is FEH doomed at this point?

Powercreeps, armors, powercreeps, more armors...

I have stopped playing the game for quite some time but... it is still the same old meta, same old pattern as it was 6 months ago. Of course, I can also see that changing the armor meta will cause outrages for those who whaled on armors, but no matter what happens all I can see is salt everywhere. At this point I honestly feel like FEH is trapped in a bad cycle and see no way out of it.

I was delighted when Veronica appears and finally offers something brand new, but it was just a one time thing apparently. They can't perform the same miracle twice.

Just ranting for all the money I have spent in this game.

Keep in mind the fanbase will always be bitchy. There's no way to please everyone. First it was the armors and the no representation for other games.

Now it's the fact that they don't want Eirika, and that they don't like armors (of which they can simply not use and save orbs).

Plus, to be fair, I think alot of people spend money in this game far more than you and I do combined (far too much to be completely honest) and they tend to pull for these types of banners so these really aren't ending anytime soon.

I agree. If you look at the Youtube dislike ratio, it is pretty insane.

The problem is probably the way FEH developers promote themselves and interact with the fans. It is almost non-existent other than FEH channel and banner release, which is not good, because it kinda leave an impression of "the banner are here to force us to spend more money, and they don't care about the rest". That makes some of us, like me, to be wary of investing in it.

Just for the sake of comparison, FGO community feels a bit more "healthy" in the sense that, people don't actually hate the developers, because of lots of events (other than in game) and developers do interact with the fanbase frequently. Salt is still there but it does not question the developers and definitely not the future of the game.

That being said, I am glad that IS is still trying with book 3, and I hope that they will surprise us even further.

Not anymore than on Halloween. Also Infantry have gotten a lot better in this game its just no one talks about it. With Rush/Flash special spiral they can special spam better than any other class except armors. They also got wave skills to try to compete with other movement types. And with refines many of them are stepping up their game. Plus the fliers just got an insane meta changing refine

I have not played the game for quite a while so I can't comment about it.
After ranting it out a bit, I realised that my main points are actually about the salt around the game, because of the distrust towards IS. They are of course, trying their best to balance the game and improve our gameplay experience. But whenever a new banner is released (especially armor banners) I just can't stop having a negative feeling over their intention. Perhaps the lack of good story or creativity is the main reason, but at times it just flat out feels like IS ran out of ideas and isn't trying anymore.

They could nerf armours with an aversa style skill that limits movement and buff daggers where all daggers have poison strike 2 or something and that'd be the next thing to complainingly talk about.
This is the true cycle.
