Feather robbed!

So got the free Azama, promoted him to 4 star, then went to look for him and couldn't find him because and he's still 3*. 2000 feathers are definitely gone because 200,892 is pretty easy to remember and now I have 198,892.

Ever happened to anyone before?
Does the system auto correct these errors when it realizes?
I rebooted the game but still don't have the feathers and he's still 3*
