Favourite Beastkin & Beast unit popularity?

Who are your favourite beast units Out of the Fire Emblem Series. I ask this since they seem very popular. I would have to pick Keaton and Velouria. I just really enjoy their little quirks and such.
Also why are Beastkin so popular? Is it because they would be a new weapon type in FE heroes or do people just really enjoy the personalities they give to such units/Characters.

They're popular because for both reasons.

Selkie. Fluffy girl. Best fluffy girl.
Sure, she's not the deepest character, in fact it can be argued that she's one of the worst written Fates characters. But she's cute and innocent. And my fav Fates child.
Plus she's pretty god damn amazing in combat. That beast effectiveness and amazing speed and res in a game of fast units and devastating enemy mages and cavalry units is one of the best things ever. Plus she can be, if not, the best dodge tank besides maybe Ryoma. And if you're similar in any way to Ryoma, that must mean you're a pretty good unit.
But all of this could just be my Fates bias :p

Naesala, minus the stupid ass Blood Pact idiocy from RD.

I assume dragons don't count... I really like Adult!Tiki.

Otherwise, I really like Mordecai as the gentle giant and for other REASONS. Also I like The Heron siblings, but especially Reyson.

And I'm not really sure why they're popular. Frankly, they're not really that good in the Tellius games. Probably their personalities are just a well-liked archetype. Also, they're usually used in those games as the minorities that you see treated poorly and you want to protect them.
