Fallen Takumi

Anyone else gonna be disappointed if he doesn't have Skadi? And if he does, it really needs to have Close Counter built in. I mean, its claim to fame in Fates(other than being in the hands of Takumi as a final boss) was having a range of 1-4, so here, it needs to have CC.

Him having Skadi is a safe bet, so let's hope that he does have it. And yes please on a built in CC.

Skadi is an ice thing if i recall correctly so fallen takumi might have high res but thats just a wild guess.

in game tho, it gives evasion and res. the res boost it gives is what scares me tho, bc if he gets Res+3 with his weapon, he wont get built in CC.

Report

I could see it causing a slow down in charging specials, the way Blade Tomes and Lightning Breath do, because one version of it in the game reduced the chance of criticals activating, so if they do that, it could get a Res boost and C>

And I think Skadi was like Fujin Yumi's dark counterpart. Didn't really have an element.

I seriously doubt them not giving Fallen Takumi Skadi. It's his unique bow. Would love it to have built in CC, and maybe have some OP exclusive skill?

Report

Just as everyone else has stated, he has got to have Skadi and CC, IS would be fools to not give him it. I want Takumi to be the most OP GHB unit in the game as of late, this would be the ultimate tribute to that nightmarish endgame.

Report

While I do think that Skadi will be his weapon, I don't think that it will have built in CC because it would be too powerful--even more so than built in DC.

Ranged weapons are generally more powerful than melee weapons because they enable the user to have more attacking range. By giving said weapon CC, the unit wielding the weapon can initiate and retaliate against more units than a unit with a DC weapon can. Normally impassible terrain such as water or mountains would not hinder ranged units, unless you had 2+ of them in-between your unit and the enemy. Units with DC weapons can't initiate across mountains or water and have to rely on baiting to deal damage against ranged units. Having that ability to attack at range and counter regardless of range, combined with the fact that the unit has an open A-Skill, just seems too powerful to have at this point in the game's life.

Of course, with the rate of powercreep we've been getting, I still wouldn't rule out CC. Again, I just think that it's unlikely.

Report

Well, in his final boss battle, he was the definition of power creep. A clone fighting along side him, letting him always have partner followup attacks, an energy blast for full field effect damage with only a few small place to hide behind, and it took 33 speed to double him, which very, very few Nohrian units in that game could gain. In fact I think only Corrin(if built with the right boon) Azura, Kaze, Felicia, and Niles could get that(and 3 of those aren't blood born Nohrians.)

Report

I agree that Takumi was a monster on his final map, but I found the hardest part about it was getting to him in the first place. Never again do I want to deal with the bullshit that was Freeze/Enfeeble/Hexing Rod staff units, exploding Faceless, enemy-only spawn areas, and high movement enemies that were paired.

As a side note, have you tried Spendthrift, Brave Bow Sniper Mozu? She easily took down Takumi in one round of combat without needing to proc any of those chance-based skills (she also had enough speed to quad), though I think that I had her paired with a cavalier unit to reach him. (Mozu in Heroes, when IS?)

Report

Takumi's Skadi was the only bow that granted a range of 4, so maybe they might make it have a range of 3 in-game.

Report

I think it has cc. And some good skils and a good stat spread (offensive). If not then i would be dissapointed. I have waited so long for him....

Report

+res along side cc would actually make sense. They've been pushing power creep and dragons both lately. So why not counter
