I would say yes it is a concern, but it definitely won't ruin him. He's going to get doubled a lot, which means he wants as much def as he can get. However, if you start stacking ward armour or if you have some close def or something like that his def will still go into the 40s which is definitely enough.

Yeah, but if your going for an any turn attack recharge build make sure you choose Steady Breath, to make up for the lack of defense. It also might be a good reason to give him Atk Smoke 3 and run other team members with it if your not running Ward Armor.
