F2P promotion struggles

Hey, the base of my question is, whether spending 20K on just promoting a hero as a skill fodder is worth it. I have 40K and a couple of viable options that I could smehow justify building.

R. Raven user - I already have 5* Sanaki (neutral) so I could promote Henry for her or I have 4* Lilina (*atk-hp). I'm not sure if a red raven user is useful when I already have a +3 TA M.Robin, but it would be a nice option to have. Sanaki is my only 5* red mage, because I had no luck on the other 5* only and I have three horrible 4* Tharjas (2x -spd and 1x -atk).

G.Raven user - either +def-res 4* Boey or 4* F.Robin. The logic is the same as for the red raven. Also worth noting that my only usable Green mages so far are a 4* Nino (neutral) and a 4* Cecilia +10 with normal gronnblade(+spd-def) who is used in cavalry teams. Having another green option would be pretty welcome for that reason.

Brave Bow user - I have S.Gaius (+atk-hp) who's really awesome and I would like to develop him further. I have a -atk gordin that I could promote as fodder for bow and I could potentially promote an LnD fodder if LnD 2 is not enough . The question here is, whether it's even useful to have a BB user on team, or if it's just a gimmicky build.
EDIT: It's worth noting that I have no useful Klein (only 4* +res-spd and no B.Cordelia)

Brave Lance Effie - i have a 4* Effie (+atk-spd) and she was always really helpful in certain situations. Having BL+ on her and having her as a 5* would be pretty good. The question here is whether BL+ is required or if the few attack points loss from a regular brave lance is enough to secure most kills.

You don't necessarily need to waste too much of your time answering all the sub-questions, just choose one of them in which you have some experience.

At some point you'll need to promote 4* just for their skill if you want to fully build your characters, BUT if you don't have that much of 5* you can just give the brave weapon ( not + ) and it will be pretty decent.

for me a Raven tome user is not really that useful maybe it's because I've a lot of 5* with high burst but I would go for the brave bow+ for Gaius but with LnD2, I'm not really a good example since I usually promote a 4* Hana for a LnD3 but it's not that worth it if you need to promote other characters.

So with your 40K I would promote for a Brave Bow+ for Gaius, and I would promote Effie and give her a simple Brave Lance ( the Brave Lance + can wait imo because Effie has the best atk in the game )

Thanks for the reply! I found the strength of TA Raven tome in its total dominance against colorless and the other respective color for which it has advantage for. It proved really useful in certain GHBs and even in Trials thanks to the high sustain potential.
But anyway those suggestions definitely make sense and it won't really hurt me if I decide to give LnD2 and normal Brave Lance and decide to upgrade these later, because I have far too many Hanas and Donnels.

Agree with pretty much all of this. An L&D + Luna S!Gaius with that IV set should be a huge asset. I have a Klein with shitty IVs who is still a monster with that build; and I just stick breakers on him when needed for GHBs.

The Raven/TA build is just not worth it because you're not going to see a ton of archers in the arena and you should be able to answer them in TT or GHB content with other units not purpose-built for archers.

5* Effie will be a monster with even regular Brave Lance and will be a nice wall for your shiny new Gaius to hide behind.

I don't have a S!Gaius but I do have a B!Cordelia w/ Brave Bow and I can tell that she is awesome - and even more than that, I would say that she is my MVP of all time (she can pretty much wipe out anything except for the inflated stats in some cases).

So based on that, I would say that building your S!Gaius won't hurt, especially since you have one w/ good IVs.

To answer the basic question, yes, I'd say it's worth it. I've only done it once, though, to give my +Res/-HP Cecilia Gronnblade+ from Nino. With that and the buffs from Hone and Fortify Cavalry skills, her attack reaches 54 (with Atk+3) and the extra buffs also contribute to her mega damage deal. She's basically a nuke for me now.
I don't have any of the other units you mentioned so I can't answer anymore of your questions. Sorry!
