[F2P] Best team build for +ATK -DEF Reinhardt?

I rerolled a +ATK -DEF Reinhardt, and I'm keeping him. How will this differ from using a +ATK -HP Reinhardt? What are some good team combinations for him? I pulled the 1 and 2 star Gunters the other day for Hone Cavalry, and I can upgrade my bad IV'd Effie or Hawkeye for Death Blow. I was thinking to have the 3 dancers to support him with Wings of Mercy, but I never pulled Azura before.

Horse Emblem is perfect. I would suggest a blade tome Cecilia, and 2 strong melee walls like Frederick or something as teammates. Using death blow on Reinhardt is a great idea also, like you mentioned. You don't need HP if you are one-shotting everything.

For Horse Emblem, I rolled a 5 Star Roderick as well. I don't know if it's a good idea for me to use 2 blue units, though. I was thinking of holding out for Ephraim or Eirika to pass Rally Def/Res onto, so I can spur Rein and rally Gronnblade Cecilia in one turn. I have a bunch of 3 star Eliwoods, for reds.

Running Roderick is ok, given the nature and utility of his weapon, but not needed.
I'm personally going to upgrade my +Spd/-Res one when I get enough feathers just so he can pass off his lance and assist to Cordelia when I get her. So if you plan to inherit off his weapon one day anyways like me, it won't matter when you do it, may as well get some use from him right?

If you can't afford to use the feathers I'd reccommend against it.

Hey mate! I'm just going to come right off the bat and say it... Xander.

They complement each other just as well, if not better than Ike and Delthea.

Xander can run Reposition, Bonfire, TA/Fury, QR, and Hone Cav to support Rein, while Rein can run Fortify Cav to support Xander. Xander is enemy phase, Rein is player phase. Xander has defence, Rein has attack. Xander deals with greens and physical reds, Rein deals with everything that's not green.

They hardly even need a dancer if played right (with Reposition of course).

I personally run this combo with Brave Cherche whenever I need a free win.

And yeah, a dancer with Hone Attack and Reinhardt will be free wins too.

As for his performance with -Def, I honestly don't think his bane matters. The only other B-Slot he runs besides Lancebreaker would be R Tomebreaker, because he can actually bait reds pretty well, so I don't think it will impact his performance. You also don't lose 4 stats from -HP.

I have Eliwoods right now, is there any way to get Xander? Would Cain, Leo or Eldigan be good replacements for Xander by the time GHB comes back again? Who else do you use on Cherche/Rein/Xander?

Eldigan would make the best replacement for Xander. Their stats are nearly identical, save for a couple of things.

If you don't have Eldigan, Eliwood can work well.

Eldigan is... I was going to say the perfect replacement, but he is just as good as Xander just with a Killer Sword rather than Distant Counter. So he's a perfect choice. Leo can work if you give him enough inheritance and I don't know about Cain, however I do hear he's underrated.

As for my freelo team, I generally go between; Rein, Xander, Cherche, Minerva, Olivia, Camus, Berkut (I like him, what can I say), Julia, Ike, Ryoma, and the starters.
If I had the choice of every hero and the resources though, I think Azura, Fae, Eldigan, Frederick (Brave Axe), and Cecilia would also be added to the list.

But to be honest, I'm pretty used to a hyper aggressive playstyle, so I just run Cherche, Rein, and Olivia for TT and Chain Challenges. Xander comes in when I don't need to use a filler.

Edit: I don't run this team in arena because it's got lower rating than what I can normally get (it also gets stale after a while). When I do though, I just run Xander, Rein, Cherche with the bonus.
I prefer making teams that only need 3 heroes for arena.

As everyone else has been saying, horse emblem is the way to go. Just using Death Blow 2 would be fine, as +4 Atk on initiation is sufficient enough for Reinhardt, and it saves you 20k feathers.

If you really want to get Death Blow 3, however, I suggest either waiting to pull a Klein, or upgrading your Hawkeye.

Give him death blow and reposition. You can actually change his special for moonbow (-def/res bane really help blowing green units that can survive) or personally y like growing wind (a 3x3 neutral damage area helps weaken nearby foes).

A red physical damage wall like Xander/Eldigan/ Falchion lord that con easily kill any green with a C slot that buff horse.
Any dancer with WoM and hone attack if you don´t use hone cavarly at any other unit.
Julia as a green magic tank can be reallly useful.

Let me give you a death lineup for horse emblem:

Eldigan/Xander with hone cavalry
Cecilia with hone/goad cavalry
Reinhardt with fortify cavalry

With a setup like this, Cecilia will be able to receive both hone and fortify buffs, Eldigan/Xander will receive both hone/goad and fortify buffs, and Reinhardt will receive hone/goad buff (which is completely fine since Reinhardt should not tank anyway).

4th spot is saved for bonus character, or a dancer.

Note: If you have the luxury to have a +atk Eldigan with distant counter inherited from a Hector, then you should go for Eldigan, who has better stat spread to deal with mages and red swords. Regarding Frederick, he is good, but nothing close to a Cecilia.

Is there any way to reroll again on the same device? I wanted to run Dragon Emblem because I like Nowi so much, but when life gives me an overwhelming, thunder-infused lemon, I'm going to make lemonade.

Well, too be fair, for a lazybones like me, having Rein makes going from 40K points in TT to 99K on the last 3-4 days possible haha, no regrets here unfortunately :)

I personally think of Rein as more of a Talonflame rather than Mewtwo, point and click one shot, not good for anything but that.

Even though rein is disgusting in a horse team I actually mainly just use him in a 3 infantry team, one of those being a dancer. With a core of a brave archer+dancer+rein you can clear so much content with your mixed double initiation damage.

On my rein I run Dthunder/repos/draconic aura and death blow (the most important skill), red tome breaker, and breath of life. Red tome breaker allows him to bait red mages and BoL is mainly for TT but can be swapped for goad on a horse team. I have also run WoM on him.

As other's have said he is a rather unique character as his bane doesn't really matter as long as he's +atk since he can't really tank anything.
