Is this even fair? Buff Vs. Spur
Hello fellow Summoners,
I bring something to the Question and Answers section I haven't tested yet, but am going ape-shit over because of wording.I didn't find what I'm asking for in the last 5 Q& A pages, so here is my spiel.
I once went off on how Brazen Att/ Def 3 (Or Att/ Spd 3) is over powered for how it gave two stat types of max point value increase PLUS with a lower thresh hold to activate than any Defiant.
Defiant Atk 3: +7 Atk when HP =< %50
Vs
Brazen Atk/ Def 3: +7 Atk/ Def when HP =< %80
Brazen Atk/ Spd 3: +7 Atk/ Spd when HP =< %80
That's a lot of value for a smaller trigger to activate.
Now I think the skills are BUSTED.
Comparing the descriptions of Defiant Atk 3 and Brazen Atk/ Def 3: Defiant Atk 3 states that if the unit is equal to or less than %50 health, the unit is granted 7 Attack at the START OF TURN.
What's different with the Brazen Atk/ Def 3 is that if the unit is equal to or less than %80 health, at the START OF COMBAT, then grant 7 Atk/ Def DURING COMBAT.
Thus the reason being that the Brazen skill branches seem to act like a Spur. That means that the stat increase only is applied during combat so that it's not a buff that can be reversed on with a Panic ploy skill type.
On top of that, that would also mean that an armored unit can have an already existing buff like Hone Armor and then be below the Brazen Atk/ Spd 3 thresh hold. That would then mean that the unit gains 7 attack and speed during combat on top of the 6 Atk and Spd buff. That's an increase of 13 Atk and Spd. That's massive.
In hindsight if this is true, I wonder if there will be a "skill forge" some day like how we were introduced with a weapon forge. As players realized that newer units being released had better weapons that "did more" for example: the Durandal and the Flaming Durandal. The original Durandal, held by Eliwood, gives Eliwood 4 attack when initiating on to an enemy. That's a decent amount of attack. But when compared to the Flaming Durandal, used by Brave Roy, it gives 3 inherent attack (so the unit always has 3 attack no matter if it's enemy or player phase) and on top of that gives Brave Roy an increase of Special Trigger cooldown when attacking a foe with less attack than Brave Roy. Lots of players thought that was blasphemous to leave Roy's dad looking so shabby. Then we were introduced with a weapon forge to upgrade once obscure weapons in to more useful ones like the Naga in to the Divine Naga and thankfully to Salvage Roy's dad somewhat by letting Eliwood upgrade his weapon to his son's greater counterpart. My point being that if we see skills being released in the future with more relatable potential to previous skills, I speculate a feature similar to the weapon forge, but for skills in the future.
P.S. Thank you for your time if you actually went through and read this long post.
P.S. 2 I've just checked the gamepedia for Fire Emblem Heroes and found that the Brazen Att/ Spd(and Def) 3 are basically spurs as I theorized.
"The stat increase applied by Brazen Attack Speed is considered a Combat Buff."

P.S. 3 Holy cow.

I agree. I feel like it should have been something similar to a smaller, but more wide spread buff. Like a merged stat increase skill like Atk/ Def 2 which gives +2 Atk and Def Versus Attack 3 which increases one specific stat by 3 points, but with less total potential by one stat point (Atk/ Def 2: 4 increased stat points Vs. Att 3 which increases 3 stat points).
(I have no idea on how to splice that run-on-sentence)
Edit: And I'm hoping for the forge.

No, it is not fair, but IS made it clear by now they dont care about delivering good game quality anymore they just care about making money with the game. I don't really want to judge because it is their objective to make some money, but the game is getting worse and worse balance wise
