Ethlyn's utility.

Anyone going to use her because of her abilities and not just because they like her character ? I have my queen Veronica, Maribelle and Elise (surprisingly, since I avoid colorless like the plague), so I kind of expected I wouldn't have much use for her. But surprisingly she was a breeze to level up. Maribelle's Staff Valor helped, but she was still very easy and fun to train even without Wrathful Staff. Her Bond skill makes her speedy and deceptively bulky and she has Physic+, which my F2P butt likes. She will be very useful for newer players.

Plus my girls are happy to have a new equally cute friend. :D

I'll fodder on of her and keep the remaining one for HM farming. I'll probably go with a Pain+++ build. I really hope B!Marth comes around in another TT unit revival as I foddered both of them ;-;

Classic Pain+ memes can give everyone a purpose in life, hehe.
I hope you can get him in the future. I kept both of my Groom Marth copies and bless my 4* one for allowing me to make a satanic Abyssal Marth guide to work. :')

No, i’m not using her because she’s good. Her stats and base kit are garbage. Her atk is way too low to be usable. I’m only using her because she can be both a TT bonus unit and a healer, and because i like her.

Report

She's certainly not the best, especially when other cavalry healers can be summoned and mass merged. But she could be worse for a 5* free healer. I'll use her if I'm in need of some Physic action, because I already have others for offense.

Report

I'm gonna build Ethlyn because I appreciate Tempest Units.

I'll aim for a Close Counter set, keeping the original weapon with Wrathful Refine, and giving her default B slot, but for now, Spd/Def bond will do.

Report

If only Close Counter could be paired up with her Def Bond somehow. That would improve her even further. But it's too early for that to be possible, if ever.

Report

If you keep ethlyn's base kit she can be really bulky with the spd/def bond and the -7 atk on foes

Report

She can at least hurt the enemy's attack if you are doing Chain/Assault and can't use Veronica again (if you have her). That's another use I personally find for her.

Report

Her stats are not that good, but since she is a horse type she'll always have a place on the horse teams for buffing and healing. And cause her name has Lyn technically means why not put her on Lyn Emblem

Report

She definitely could use some more attack, yes. Horse buffs help. But my Elise (-Spd, poor baby) is still envious of the speed she can reach.
Haha, if she had green hair there would be no difference.

I'm a bit of a healer buff, and it's nice to have a cavalry cleric that has good defense. Before this, the tankiest cavalry cleric was Clarine, with 22 defense, so having 26 base with an easy +5 from her A slot and +7 from her staff is really nice.

Report

She choked a point really well on today's workout map while I was training her. That was fun. And it's good that players with less resources can have access to a healer that is less likely to die in one hit if they slip up.

Just getting a free 5* healer is enough justification for me to use her. I'm close to maxing HM on the 5* healers I already have, and I don't want to promote another yet.

Report

I'm happy to get her, she's welcomed in my barracks like any other free 5* unit. They all have their uses, some better than the others. I'm hoping she'll be helpful in the future.

Report

Already have Maribelle (my favorite one), Prisicilla and Elise.
I also wanna promote Clarine and will train Ethlyn.
I love staff cavalry units and I think they are too good.
I also will promote the 4* Ethlyn and will give my monster Seth +7 her A skill.
