Enemy phase Donnel

I have a 4* merge donnel with minimal SI that I'm looking to build for the upcoming TT. As he'll be alongside a brave axe cherche I'm looking for a nice enemy phase tank.

A SLOT unsure I don't want to go too heavy so now breath etc

He'll be used in my lunatic 7 teams player controlled as well as autobattle so I need something that will handle the AI's stupidity.

Edit: also ideal ivs would be useful. Mine is currently -spd but with the TT boost he'll hit a nice spd level to deny doubles so I may change that.

Donnel does'nt have that good of res so Berkut's lance is a bad idea on him. give him the physical version of the build if you want an enemy phase. (slaying lance with def refine and bonfire)

While his res is middling I'm using Donny solely for pve namely this upcoming TT. With refined berkut's lance and boostes stats his res will be well above 30 and adding to his defence will be overkill for TT. Plus, and most importantly, boosting his res will protect him from AI stupidity when auto battling.

My real choice is which stat boost I'll put in his a slot

+atk is Donny’s best boon if he runs an offensive build, but a tank may crave a def boon. Even a speed boon will probably creep up towards 40, so it’s really up to you. Best bane would be HP for this build.

His A slot is normally death blow or fury, but fury is a bad choice on TT and death blow is more offensive rather than tanky. If he is enemy phase, his A slot is not going to be cheap. Either Distant counter, Steady/Warding Breath, or a brazen skill would really emphasize his tanking ability. Otherwise, death blow would probably be best unless you plan on bringing a healer to keep fury from draining him.

C skill can be either threaten def, atk, or spd, depending on the boon.

That A slot is my concern. Way too expensive for a unit I'll barely use. I ended up picking up +3spd just for something cheap.

My TT team is looking great though.

Brave axe Cherche, enemy phase donnel, F Robin standard build and a pseudo healer/buffbot marth (his refine is perfect for my build) who'll be my Grima slayer.

Since Donny is primarily gonna be used defensively, you can go Fortress Def if you have a 4* Seth lying around. It would amp up the damage that Bonfire/Ignis does as well, should you choose either special.
