End of book 1 theory

Well, book 2 has been announced yesterday, which means book 1 is likely to end soon. Veronica is likely to remain a villain according to the trailer, so I suspect the conclusion, which will be the next story chapter, will have Alfonse saving Zacharias and he would be the recruitable character. Zacharias would be the fourth blue tome cavalier in the game, and his stats and skills have been all over the place in the previous encounters, the most consistent thing is his tome, which has a built-in Vantage 2, a preety good effect. Does any one have other ideas for book 1's conclusion?
