Eldigan after Weapon Refinery?

I have a +atk -res merged +1 Eldigan, thinking about new builds he could try out with the new weapon refinery additions for Mystletainn. As tempting as it is to have double the fury 3 (if they even do stack), what about an Ike-esque build with Mystletainn+Fury 3, Heavy Blade, Quick Riposte, and Aether? With +atk he reaches 35 base attack, and in my case +1 gives him 36 attack. Attack +3 seal and Fury 3 Mystletainn bring him to 58 attack, without buffs, wherein he's almost always going to activate Heavy Blade, even on many buffed enemies. Also, since Mystletainn is unique as it brings Aether's charge down 1 as well, he'll activate it pretty fast. If the enemy attacks twice and he activates QR (which will usually happen because of his low-ish speed) then he'll activate Aether on the first turn. Expensive but seems pretty fun.

Sounds neat, but Steady Breath is practically superior as it gives Eldigan some bulk. Fury stacks most likely, and if so, then +6 to all stats will be very hard to pass on

I thought about it, but Eldigan cannot use Steady Breath. It is limited to melee, infantry and armoured only. Also, Eldigan works well with Quick Riposte, and taking 12 damage after combat takes him immediately out of QR2 range even if he takes 0 damage, and takes him out of QR3 range if he takes so much as 2-3 damage. Fine if he's only fighting one enemy total, but potentially being able to use QR twice in one turn goes a long way.

Yeah it stacks with Fury 3 (a-skill). Eldigan best a-skill remains Distant Counter I believe.

Of course, a less flexible but more effective alternative would be by using Steady Breath and the Deflect Magic 3 seal. So that he can deal with melee threats more easily and still manage to deal with ranged attacks.

Using Heavy Blade as his a-skill is definetely inferior to the 2 latter options but it's for sure the most fun and creative one. Another fun one would be to stack his refined Fury 3 with the a-skill, to turn him into a ball of stat (or more like a recoil punching ball), I'd be curious to see that tho. Especially with Vantage and Reprisal since he is likely to safely fall at Vantage range before dying and then maybe never dying.

Eldigan cannot use Steady Breath. If he could this theorycrafting would be much simpler.

Vantage and Fury 3 x2 is definitely interesting, at 48 HP (with crafted Mystletainn) he hits Vantage 3 range immediately after 1 battle, even having taken 0 damage. Definitely a high risk but fun build. Distant Counter he could use, but his resistance is pretty low (especially mine is -res) so even with deflect magic 3 seal it might not be as worth it as some other characters.
