Eirika is basically nuts now?

Let me get this straight.

Eirika's new weapon refinement adds a 'during combat' bonus to her stats equal to the highest 'field buff' on an ally within 2 spaces, for each particular individual stat.

So let's asume an Arena core of Eirika, Cecilia and B!Lyn. B!Lyn has Fortify Cavalry, which she provides to Cecilia. Cecilia has Speed Tactic (soon), which she provides to both Eirika and B!Lyn. And Eirika herself has Attack Tactic, providing that to her teammates. If you fill your team with a fourth non cavalry unit with Def tactic...

Thats +6/12/12/6 to all her stats? So -HP, +Atk Eirika reaches 42/52/47/38/34, at 0 merge, without an A-slot (hello Distant Counter)? And that is one hell of an easy thing to accomplish, too, being that you just need to position your team 2 spaces away...

Put simply, no. She only gains the highest buff, meaning she would gain at max a +6 per stat.

I don't interpret it that way, tbh.

The text says:

During combat, grants bonus to Atk/Spd/Def/Res = highest bonus on allies within 2 spaces. Each stat bonus calculated independently.

This would imply that she receives any Tactic or Hone buff as a normal FIELD buff (visible out of combat). She enters combat with those buffs. So, say, she received a hone Atk buff, she enters combat with 50 attack (assuming +atk).
During combat, however, she receives a bonus to all stats equal to the highest bonus on an ally in range. So, say, she has another ally who received her own Sieglinde buff. That means an additional COMBAT buff (not visible ooc, but active during combat) of 4, totalling to 54 in this example.

Can anybody confirm?

No, it doesn't work like that.
Visible buffs don't stack, you only get the highest one.
Eirika would get the atk tactic, plus sieglinde's reverse drive effect of +6 atk, which is still pretty good tho.

tactics..tactics..tactics
errrrr.....it could be easier if you had a flier emblem + eirika, armor emblem + eirika, horse emblem + eirika instead
then allow the buff unit to be 2 spaces near her or adjacent

I would rather use tactics, because then the Horses can also buff Eirika for double buffs. But some people are questioning my reasoning here, so I am actually going to look for somebody to show the actual way it works.

That looks about right, and yes, she's incredible now. I guess my investment has really paid off!

I'll probably run her with Brave Lucina (more drive buffs), then a pair of fliers or horses to get those delicious emblem buffs.

I tried to get more Eirikas today on the Aether fodder banner but all I got were 3 Alms, 2 Lucinas, 1 Marth, 1 Leon and 1 Mia in 120 orbs.. not a singlr Eirika-chan T_T

I would try it out with my Eirika if the update was finally available on IOS :')

Hold on, I was interpreting this as her increasing the buffs her teammates already have. So she actually takes up the highest buffs from nearby teammates on herself?

Just saw Sacred Spear's video on the update; according to him my interpretation was correct.

Again, it it's true, Eirika is really pushing mixed teams to a new level.
