Eir - merge or fodder?

I’m curious to see what you all decided to do with this new unit, especially since she introduced that nice Mystic Boost skill.

I have two copies and since I don’t plan on +10 merging her in the near future (AR is okay but I don’t mind too much) I kinda need some inspiration for potential uses of that skill.

This is one option.
Counters dragons and mages. And allows for safe baiting of staff users.

Fun thing to note is that divine Naga negates all buffs. Something that's oft forgotten.

I like Deirdre a bit better for it with the somewhat higher res and speed, but Julia works as well.

CC is what makes this work.

Note that this build isn't better than full offence, given that you'll still bank on one shotting, but there are a few benifits:
-Avoiding enemy phase skills (mostly Vantage)
-The ease of buffing and positioning, especially in arena with defence tiles
-The many annoying staff units that can't hurt them. Divine naga even negates the +4 buff that makes Veronica so dangerous together with a dancer
-healing

That’s a great build indeed, never thought of CC but it clearly works amazingly against dragons.
Deirdre looks a bit better than Julia, I’d love to get her so I’m a bit unsure whether to wait or just go with her daughter.
This new skill definitely improved their performances a lot! I mean, negating Veronica’s buffs is crazy good (even for AR since cavalry units are everywhere).

Wait, they might get those skills as refines, as hinted in the datamine.

If the skills datamined are not for them, then Julia would appreciate the love.

Whatever you do, DO NOT FODDER THE ONE YOU GOT FOR FREE.

You'll need the free Eir with Neutral IVs when you can't seem to beat something (GHBs, LHBs, etc.) and you want to use a guide. Even the smallest and seemingly meaningless IV alteration can mess everything up in this regard.

Now, on the actual question. I have multiple copies of Eir I can use for fodder, and I plan to give one to a ranged magical duelist, also likely to be paired up with Fury. (Because Free Stats) I was thinking of Kaze for that job, but my unit choice could change.

Report

No way, I’m NEVER gonna fodder the neutral one! I like to have at least one copy of each unit, and I agree about her potential use for maps!
I thought about the Fury + Mystic Boost combo a lot, it’s basically free stats. Kaze sounds cool for the job, Felicia as well.

Alm and eldigan can use mystic boost. High res units like felicia, flora can too. There's also carrot weapons or blue and green egg you can use.

I agree with the OP with regards to close counter/mystic boost.
I don't have a anti-dragon mage to put it on, but my +10 Soren is my new dragon slayer with it.
I would personally keep one for arena bonus scoring and inherit mystic boost with the other. (especially if AR isn't a big deal to you)

Report

Yeah AR is nice for grails but I can live without trying to get in higher tiers, I don’t care too much. I’ll definitely keep the neutral copy and potentially fodder the other copy.
I definitely need a dragon slayer. Though I was thinking maybe even Lilina can work with that?

Report

Merge because she is a great unit with 4 effects on her Dagger, high res, and amazing offensive stats. Being abled to work as a res tank high damage debuffer is really fun and cool.

Report

Well I have 3 of them right now. The free one, which I'll keep for guides, a +res/-def which I will be using, and a - atk one that will be fodder. Not sure for who though yet.

Report

I'm absolutely saving my neutral one, for sure. (For guides, mostly.) I'm not even summoning for her, so the odds of my ever getting more of her are slim, but if I do get more, I'll probably fodder her B skill, since it's so useful and I'm not a huge fan of the character.
