Effie vs hardin

Hey everyone!

I want to know your opinions on these two units. I just got a free hardin pull, and he's +res, -def. Which, honestly, is pretty decent.

He would be put in a goad armor team with BK, LA! Lyn +def, -hp (blarowl build) and finally Grima (M) +res, -def.

He is competing for a spot with an +1 +def, -spd Effie. She has a silver lance+ (atk) and her basic set + goad armor. Besides hitting hard, she also fills up the defense that my team is lacking.

Now should i replace my effie with hardin?

Pros would be :
+ Build in distant counter
+ Res oriented fighter
+ Decent speed
+ Only 4 points lost in comparison to effie
+ Insane base kit

Cons :
- 10 hp less than effie, meaning less bulky in comparison (not including brazen def/res)
- 10 atk lower than effie
- 14 bst difference

As you can see there are more pros than cons, but because of me experience with effie i've become a bit biased. So with all this in mind, would i like to hear your opinion on who should be in the team. If you would like to just drop your experience with hardin then that's great too!

Hardin. Like you said, built in distant counter, Bold fighter, brazen Def/Res are really good. But, you have Grima with the same ivs. So it comes down to who fits your team better

I think your analysis is off, Hardin has 5 less hp, and 6 less attack. He also has 9 more bst, but nevertheless, Hardin is the superior unit.

Hardin is better for pure stats and built in DC, but Effie has easier merging potential, so it depends on your goal.

Effie boasts higher Atk and HP but Hardin is a better overall tank due to his superior Res. Hardin is a better enemy phase unit. Which is what tanks are for. Nonetheless, both are good, but Hardin just beats it due to his much higher Res.

Hardin is better, but Effie is actually mergeable due to being in the 3-4* pool.

If you're a whale, go for Hardin, otherwise go for Effie.
