Does Distant counter work better on effie than death blow?

It depends on her IV and the role you want her to play. Both are excellent choices in their own way.

Generally, in armor emblem, Distant Counter is much better. If she's on a mixed team with mobility support (Guidance, Dancing, etc) then Deathblow starts to look better.

Armor March forces you to move in formation or lose the benefit. This leaves units clumped together and vulnerable to ranged units - especially cavalry and fliers.

Additionally, pure armor team have no source of ranged damage. This forces them to rely on distant counter to handle problematic units such as those with reposition or dancer support.

Basically having movement on par with infantry is helpful, especially as it ignores forests, but it doesn't eliminate a pure armor team's ranged problem. Neither does Distant Counter for that matter...but multiple tactics implemented together have increased benefit.

Finally, armor emblem buffs compensate for the loss of the A slot.

Distant counter, death blow is too overkill, normally you don't need more damage because she can reach 55 damage, (Can kill a lot of mages)
