First of all, waste of a C, S and Weapon slot . You don't need spd, and his res is already barely salvegable, so I don't see why anyone would try this. Other than my cynical, tactical side.

Nice build. Though, that's alot of work for what, 37 spd or so when you can pretty much double with follow up ring anyway? XD

I know, this build isn't really good.
But I wanted to see how much speed I could slap on the slowest boy around.

Though there is a point to the madness.
The speed kinda works like a one sided wary fighter, lessening the amouth of doubles he has to take.
Besides his res is almost 30, and this build doesn't do away with his great hp and defence.

Still an utterly stupid idea though

Ye. Barrier blade serves little purpose in this build. Slaying edge is better as it allows for bonfires every melee engagement.

OP is better off stacking res than spd. Res refined barrier blade + double close def, and res wave= 51 res on enemy phase AND hell nuke everyone with bonfires coming of 59 def

Or something like this, since it allows for a little more survivability against mages (like maybe he won't die to a green one)
But allows him to take on dragons and boost his defences in player phase (followup ring is dual phase, but he'll take a hit while doubling)

Of course, if were to build him seriously, I'd rather go the 'anything short of a black luna can't dent him' route.

A skill with spd on very a low spd unit ? Wut ?
Barrier blade ? On a very low res unit ? Wut ?
So instead of reinforcing his strengths, you invested on making his terrible flaws terrible ?

I'm hoping they add a generic sword that makes the user slightly faster, something like Darting Blow/Stance. That way you can refine it on top of that for 3 more speed for a possible increase of +6 speed.

I'll be honest, I've never seen a SPD build for Arden. Props.

As for its practicality, I'm not so sure... I'd keep brave sword or maybe def refined slaying edge, atk/def bond 3, bonfire, followup ring obviously, and maybe panic ploy or even atk wave. Deflect magic 3 SS would probably be best since everyone will double him, 80% reduction on damage is significant and with his high HP it'll let him survive combat against a mage.
