dragback/hit and run + light breath++/dark breath++

Lets say I attack with light breath++ and hit and run. Does the buff hit everyone 2 spaces from where I attacked, or from where I run to after the attack?
Same question for Dark Breath. Does it pulse from where I hit my target or where they wind up?
